There are already plenty of “secular chaplains” in the military. They are called psychologists. This is a typical left wing tactic. What their aim is to eventually get rid of chaplains altogether.
Correct. This is the exact same tactic employed with homosexual marriage. Once you get your foot in the door by allowing "other" living arrangements to be called marriage, you completely undermine the institution itself.

So strictly speaking, to have an atheist chaplain, there would first have to be a body of people ordained for religious duties of the atheist faith. I wonder what those duties would be and who would do the ordaining.
Seems like a lot of effort to set all that up just to get atheist chaplains.
