On Friday, police in Dayton arrested Jean Paul Mpanurwa, 26, after he reportedly attacked a 90-year-old woman last month, while she was walking along a bike path.
The sexual assault occurred around 9:30 p.m. on July 14.
The elderly woman was out for a walk when the suspect grabbed her by the hand and led her to the back of a nearby building, according to police.
She was shoved to the ground and raped. The victim then walked home and informed her son of the brutal attack.
A rape exam was performed on the woman at a local emergency room, and DNA evidence was found.
Mpanurwa has been charged with rape, felonious assault and kidnapping. He is currently being held at the Montgomery County Jail on an immigration detainer.

At that time, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officers determined he was in the country lawfully and that his misdemeanor conviction would not make him deportable under the law. It happened in Omaha a few weeks ago, a 93 year old woman. She died a few days later, from her injuries. The perp is a Mexican roofer.
I did not think there was “a new law”. ? I thought that whatever nonsense 0bama put out was not “law”. I guess I have a lot to learn.

I’m curious about a couple of things. Was he here as a student at taxpayer expense? And what country is he from? African? Haitian? Not even the Examiner provides that information. And the booking sheet says nothing about his citizenship.

Look on the bright side. We do not share a border with Africa and Mexico is not a Muslim country. Things could be worse.
