I think it's time for blacks to admit they have a problem and the usual solution of throwing more of my money at it won't fix it. Blacks need to clean up their own act. Over 70% are raised without a father present, most see little payback to education or hard work because they have no one present to use as a yardstick. Cosby, Sowell, and other blacks have addressed this problem publicly, but the black community won't accept any portion of the responsibility for their situation. Until whites see an effort by the leaders of the black community to clean up their own house, I see little reason to expect any change in perceptions that blacks present to whites.

Which is actually worse than it sounds. Because if 1/8 of the population is commiting 50% of the crime then they are doing it at rates greater than 20 times anyone else.

I had an experience managing a business that was located in a mostly black part of town. I grew to hate the job. I was convinced these people were all incredibly bigoted black racists. If somebody had a problem and a white guy came out to try and address it for them it was katy-bar-the-door.

But after some time there I grew to realize that it wasn’t everybody. It was a hard-core group of 25 or 30 idiots who kept coming in all the time.

Yeah, but we’re always saying that, and of course it’s pointless to bark up that tree after a certain point. This is a way of saying, well, what the hell are we supposed to do, anyway? We all know that even trillions in massive reparations outright would only make the problem worse, funding the pathologies even more, etc...

The general approach has been that the overall condition of blacks in America is the result of the actions of whites, and therefore, whites must be the ones to make things better, and right.

In the 1960s when blacks were just ten percent of the population the extremist black groups exercised a great deal of influence especially in the MSM but it was generally accepted by most whites that the above statement was true.

Today race relations seem worse than ever with no easing in sight. Back then the relations were tense but even the black extremists advised to "Take ten." Meaning to give it a break.. no, wait. Take ten. Ten percent of the population. Now I remember! They meant that each black American should kill ten white American. Never mind.

When blacks love their children more than they hate me they will achieve economic success. More economic success will lead to more racial harmony.

Whites have done their part already.

Whites walked with blacks during the civil rights movement, whites fought to end slavery, whites changed their outlooks and their hearts towards acceptance. And we did a darn good job.

But look where it’s gotten us.

It’s time for the Black community to do theirs.
