We stand on the brink of an illegal exercise of military power in a part of the world we have no need to be in, except that we have a president who purposefully keeps us there by suppressing our own development of energy resources and embroiling us in their internecine warfare. We could have walked away from the Middle East already and left them to their own savagery, but the president insists that we remain inextricably tied to their historical need to kill each other so that we can overpay for oil, both monetarily and with American lives. Thus, as technology enables us to break free of dependence upon Middle East oil, our president bends over backwards to ensure that never happens. What sort of leader purposefully compels his country and its people to participate in practices and policies that are detrimental to their safety and survival?

What is it with this putative president that too few American's refuse to define, not as to the presidential usurper that he so obviously is or the traitor which the whole world has come to recognize?

I read this on another FR thread and this makes so more sense than just a gas attack. Skittles is in over his head:

It’s about oil and gas.
Obama wants to trade American blood for Muslim Terrorist to have access to the Leviathan Natural Gas Field.
It’s already been verified by several sources that Saudi Prince Bandar provided chemical weapons for an Al-Qaeda linked terrorist group which they blame for the August 21 chemical attack in the region.
Why?
Because the Muslims don’t want Christians in their area, and they certainly don’t want them to have the oil and gas, and the wealth that comes from that.

So now, the ILLEGAL ALIEN IN CHIEF tells us something that HE KNOWS is ENTIRELY FALSE,
because he wants the oil and gas to be controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood
and he’s wanting to take out the competition that Saudi Arabia is having from Syria in oil revenues.

Again, Putin is VERY CONCERNED about WHO will sell oil and gas to Europe and had a deal with Assad about his oil pipe line.

The United Nations wants to “Rise In Power”.
I’m not saying it’s about U.S. oil and gas concerns.
It’s about RUSSIA’s concerns, China’s concerns, Saudi Arabia’s concerns, Iran’s concerns, Iraq’s concerns, and Jordan’s concerns.
But Russia will be the main player, and it’s submarines, aircraft, and weapons will put the ILLEGAL ALIEN IN CHIEF to shame.
This is none of our business.
The Kenyan Turd has no U.S. National Security Interest there AT ALL !
But Satan’s servant, Obama, doesn’t care about the law, or our precious resources and Nation Treasure of American blood.

He has already overspent his budget—some say using federal retirement accounts. He needs a diversion from NSA spying, IRS lawlessness, etc. to turn down the heat.

Some say the actual president, Valerie Jarrett, born in Iran, took him to the woodshed about Syria.

The coming budget battle may involve the government signing another 100 year agreement with the Federal Reserve before it expires Dec. 23, 2013, since it appears they cannot produce the gold supposedly there, or we may begin the NWO based on commodities. Or, we may get WW III.

All of Congress were informed of this in the secret session of Mar. 12, 2008 leading to the commie coup of Nov. 2008. (Still secret.) That is why Obama was not vetted, why Hillary gave in, the economic crash planned to ensure victory, and the DOJ run by the president to put out the fires. Since then elections have been rigged, and Congress has been busy feathering their nests and keeping their mouths shut rather than warning us about what is to come. IMO THEY ALL KNEW!!!

And now there is Syria. Any objective actor, seeing the ratio of success-to-failure of his past decisions, might step back and engage in a bit of introspection. No one person has done more to destabilize the Middle East than "Peace Prize Obama". The death and repression in foreign lands attributable to the decisions of this one man is shocking. Societies are literally transformed for the worse by what he says and does, both at home and abroad. But President Obama either doesn't do introspection, or has no need for it because he is doing exactly what he has set out to do. He is not failing. He is succeeding. He is enabling those with whom he sympathizes, or with whom he shares a common enemy, to achieve spectacular success.
