Walk among whom? Zimmerman was in HIS own neighborhood, not out in another neighborhood looking for trouble. However, one person was out of place enough to attract George's attention...
The who article reeks of racism. If everything the writer views is viewed through the lens of how someone is mistreating them or not (not means kowtowing) based on the color of their skin, they have a long way to go before there can even be a discussion. There's no point. The writer is racist to their core--so much so they don't even recognize it.
If you just act like normal, civil people, you will likely be treated like a normal civil person. From there it generally goes downhill. Walk around with a chip on your shoulder, and sooner or later someone is going to knock it off.
As for those folks who are providing welfare, obama phones, subsidized housing, etc., who have to compete against set-asides, quotas, and a plethora of racially exclusive perks, yeah, we're tired of being 'taken care of', too.
So, to the writer I say, fine. Don't take care of us, and we reserve the same right to not take care of you. All this crap of how I'm somehow supposed to kiss your ass over what amounts to an accident of genetics is getting tedious, and I don't handle tedious well--and let your friends know we're all tired of people using a thug getting shot a thousand miles away as an excuse to murder at random--just because the person they feel like killing is white.
I think George and I would have a lot fewer issues than Trayvon and I would have. After all, I can't stand thieves.
