While America Weeps On September 11th, Malta Celebrates [Defeating the Muslims 9/11, 1565]
Shoebat ^ | September 11, 2013 | Theodore Shoebat

Posted on 09/12/2013 9:21:26 AM PDT by george76

On September 11th, Americans remember a scene of gore, the Twin Towers being hit by planes and then crumbling down with countless human beings being crushed and ripped to pieces alongside the debris, and people jumping off buildings.

On the same month of September — September 8th to be exact — the people of the small island of Malta celebrate how their country, in 1565, fought under the knight Jean Parisot de Valette and the religious Order of the Knights of St. John, and defeated the Muslims and their leader Sulaiman who were trying to conquer the Christians and reduce them under Sharia.

...

The Muslims never forgot their defeat in Malta, and it is possible that this was for this reason as to why September 11th was the day they chose to execute the attack on America.

...

The support for terrorism by this country in Syria and other parts of the Middle East has dangerously increased, and the praise of Islam by politicians (especially Obama) has swelled more so than any other time in US history.

From all of this, one thing is obvious: we have not learned from 9/11. We have only decayed more, and have plunged ourselves deeper into the heresy of indifferentism.

It leads us to ask, what then is the root of the Islamic problem? Tolerance... you have the problem (Islam), the symptom to the problem (terrorism), and the enabler of the problem (tolerance).

As long as we have tolerance, we will have terrorism. The root to this tolerance is of course our acceptance of false religions, and the nation’s emphasis on giving full liberty to every wicked and evil idea which man conceive in his mind. Islam is definitely one of these.

Got to remembe that where Malta is, they remember the attacks to the island by the early Muslim attackers.

I love it when the “tolerance preachers” can’t tolerate my intolerance.

Terrific book on this battle, called “Angels in Iron” by Nicholas Prata. I’m soooo eager to do a movie on this book.

Well, Lepanto was NOT the defense of Malta-—it was six years later, and fought at sea. Very important, but they were separate battles.

It's not tolerance that's the problem - it's cultural blindness...

Radical Muslims are a danger to our culture.

Muslim beliefs are a danger to our culture.

The two cultures are incompatible ... They know it - we don't... That's the 'blindness' ... that's the danger we face. Our ignorance. We pretend their ideas are not a threat. We pretend the danger is 'over-reaction' or intolerance... It's not...

Muslim beliefs are incompatible with Western beliefs. Period.

The book The Great Siege is a rousing account of this great world altering event. It was out of print but now back and well worth the read.

See #10. It reads like a movie. Pay attention to the last paragraph. We are still engaged in this war.

Is there one country on earth where there are no ROP’ers? One place where women are not raped for not wearing a veil, Christians and Jews are not murdered for being what they are?

The answer is not Japan, where children are sex objects either. They may have no Muslims but who wants to live in a culture like that?

very very few Muslims in South Korea but the ones there are very visible... they put their Mosque (I think the only one) on a hill overlooking the Itawon tourist district.

Islam and the American Left are butt-buddies because they share the same short term goal: our destruction.

Well, I use “Carnage and Culture” by Victor Davis Hanson in my Technology and Culture of War class and every year students write a paper on, among other things, Lepanto.

You’re both right. The site is my go to - most secular authors/academia also refer to it though they don’t deign to admit it. Wiki does on occasion. :)

"Diversity Lovers" can't stand diversity that is unexpected.

You don't always get to embrace and celebrate the diversity you want, Sometimes you have to embrace and celebrate the diversity that you need.

Kool.

"The engagement was a significant defeat for the Ottomans, who had not lost a major naval battle since the fifteenth century. The defeat was mourned by them as an act of Divine Will, contemporary chronicles recording that "the Imperial Fleet encountered the fleet of the wretched infidels and the will of God turned another way.""

May Allah continue to dissappoint.

Actually, about one fourth of the Christian fleet, including two heavy-gun gal leases, did not even engage. The undermanned and outnumbered Christian fleet won with 3/4 of its force.

THE SEIGE OF MALTA - History’s bloodiest siege
Daily Mail U.K. ^ | July 7, 2007 | JAMES JACKSON

History’s bloodiest siege used human heads as cannonballs By JAMES JACKSON 07 July 2007

A hot and fetid June night on the small Mediterranean island of Malta, and a Christian sentry patrolling at the foot of a fort on the Grand Harbour had spotted something drifting in the water.

The alarm was raised. More of these strange objects drifted into view, and men waded into the shallows to drag them to the shore. What they found horrified even these battle-weary veterans: wooden crosses pushed out by the enemy to float in the harbour, and crucified on each was the headless body of a Christian knight.

This was psychological warfare at its most brutal, a message sent by the Turkish Muslim commander whose invading army had just vanquished the small outpost of Fort St Elmo - a thousand yards distant across the water.

Now the target was the one remaining fort on the harbour front where the beleaguered, outnumbered and overwhelmed Christians were still holding out: the Fort St Angelo. The Turkish commander wished its defenders to know that they would be next, that a horrible death was the only outcome of continued resistance.

But the commander had not counted on the mettle of his enemy - the Knights of St John. Nor on the determination of their leader Grand Master Jean Parisot de la Valette, who vowed that the fort would not be taken while one last Christian lived in Malta.

The rest of the history
