David Brooks says there are only 45 crazies in the House and 4 in the Senate. So be it.

If the 45+4 announce a new party by October 15, and commit to all 435 House races and all 100 Senate races in 2014, there will be lots more after 2014. The day GOP+Dems in the House are <218 is the day we regain our freedom.

There are no more Republicans. There are three parties:

1) Democrats, which believe in communism, fascism, and want to destroy the Bill of Rights.

2) Democrats, which call themselves Republicans, who believe in socialism, fascism, and who don’t care if 1) above destroys the Bill of Rights.

3) Conservatives, which Cruz is a member of, and which party I belong to.

The silver lining just might be that if the US Senate Republicans do not vote to defund Obamacare the party is over. It started when John Roberts traitored us....with that and ever since then the RINOs have actually been doing everything they can to save Obamacare. Now it's out in the open that they consider the conservatives the enemy.

The only ones that will ever get elected again are the ones who get their acts together ON EVERYTHING....Obamacare, stopping the invasion of the US, stopping Obama from enabling AlQuaida, second ammendment rights, ending NSA syping on citizens,.... Game's up. If they don't defund Obamacare, the decent ones will have to form a third party, soon to be second party as only hated politicians will be left with the 'pubs. No conservative will ever be fooled by a RINO again.

“There are no more Republicans. There are three parties:”

The conservatives are growing in influence and while the Dems have little fear of the conservatives and will continue to ridicule them as std operating procedure, the R party cannot so easily ignore conservatives.

Conservatives have the law, centered in the US Constitution, on their side. A trustworthy and lawful society appeals to every sane American, left right up or down.

Conservatives are associated with votes for the R party but there are also many Dems who are attracted to conservatism as a lawful free governmental system. The percentage of Americans who are socialist is relatively small, perhaps 20-30 percent and a large portion of that, especially the younger ones, is the result of poor education and popular culture—that group is recoverable.

If the R party is to have any future in national gov’t, it must care about conservatives. The present and growing strength of conservative desires and voters could, if managed assertively, force the R party to come to conservatives begging-hat in hand. Else, the R party won’t even get invited to cheese-and-cracker socials in Wash DC. If the R party continues to insult conservatives, the conservatives may even go so far as to formalize a separate party. That party won’t win national elections (similar to the Bull Moose or Perot’s party) right away, if ever, but the R party will have to form a coalition with them and caucus with conservatives if the R party is to have any voice whatsoever. That gives the conservatives a lot of power. While that occurs, conservatives will scratch voters away from the Dem party.

This is just one pathway forward that I see as a possibility should the R party continue to discourage conservatives, fail to create a winning strategy (going on 10 months since the last election loss), and retain the losing strategists and leadership who have guide the R party to key losses in Presidential elections for decades. Losing has consequences—the R party is trying to avoid the inevitable consequences. Conservatives, in contrast, are looking forward and fighting.

The more the establishment Republicans attack Ted Cruz the more I know he is a true conservative who should make a presidential run.

Well, well.

Do I hear the faint sound of a shoe (or, more likely a size 13EE boondocker) about to hit the deck?

Better load up and stand by, people. And I don't mean popcorn.

This lady doesn't make threats, she keeps damn promises.

I love that idea. The RNC’s new Rules, for the state conventions, have guaranteed conservatives shall shut up and stay seated.

Hat tip to the Libertarians for first exposing it at the state level, and bothering to throw a few chairs around, at least.

We conservatives watched the GOPE step on the Libertarians to stop the Ron Paul crowd, but now they will be after us to stop both Paul AND Cruz.

At least now we’re double trouble.

I’d prefer Cruz as President, and Sarah as Energy Secretary, or Chief of Staff. Bob

I get the distinct impression that the pressure of a national campaign will break Rand. He does not exude the confidence of Cruz or Lee. Bob

Palin as Energy Secy or Chief of Staff...

I agree. I really like the way Palin's come along, away from the McCain yoke. But to a lot of voters who could go constitutional conservative, she'd be too much of a stretch to accept as president or VP. I'd bet those same voters would get it that her resume is real good for Dept of Energy.

Fast approaching is the day you may easily be considered a “felon” and jailed. This means you will not be voting.

If you do your time, pay your debt to society and are ever released, you still will not be voting.

If you are released and become Mother Theresa, you will not be voting.

Many felonies are not of the same caliber to strip you of voting rights for your lifetime, unless your citizen status is also revoked.

One would think you might want to check that jerked knee.
