Look, we've all been fooled by "leaders" over the years. The most recent example has to be obozo who, with the aid of the US lapdog media and generations of government school indoctrinated, critical thinking impaired idiots, wangled his unvetted, unqualified way into the White House.

Have you noticed in the last 3 years the influx of entitlement junkies being driven into what by definition would be “conservative Christian communities” in an effort to pre-position these “Walking Dead” in hopes of having them in place to destroy or at least cause major harm to the mental norms and values should a disaster occur? I’m think if the Fed does collapse or there is a hiccup in services for 2 to 4 months stemming from the current rate of printing valueless money by the Fed Reserve - and the economic system stalls temporarily - these “Zombies” will be the ones taking to the streets causing mayhem and disorder - while surrounding those that have stockpiled weapons and supplies - all the while Obama silently cheers for their death.
Think about it — this is a trend I’m seeing playing out right now in Southern Indiana...drug use - high unemployment - lack of education - etc...all equal “The Walking Dead” scenario playing out...I’m sure it will last after all the “patriots” are disposed of - and then govt assistance will miraculously be turned back on!

That said, the problem these “deep thinkers” have is that once their utopia has been achieved, there will be no one left to produce any REAL wealth (real wealth being the product of capital, raw materials and labor).
It will then become necessary for the elites to crank up the presses and inflate the currency beyond Wiemar Republic levels to keep the mirage going. And they will — for a time. But those sorts of charades don’t last too long.
At that point, the slugs and bums will turn on their masters and, unless disarmed (which is why “they” want OUR guns), will kill and eat them.
Once the slaughter stops, there may be an opportunity to start all over again and rebuild something that works.
Like a moral private property order, free enterprise & capitalism.

When you started out, I could have sworn you were going to put Obama (or probably 90% of Rep and Dem pols) as the “guy”.
20 years ago I would have agreed with you. My wife’s brother in law (her sisters husband) owns a topless tavern there, and business is booming. Rent in Moscow is 5x what it is in NYC. He pays less taxes than here in the US. He is told regularly who to pay off (instead of guessing here in the US). He tried to expand into pizza, and was told “no way”, that market is cornered. He makes a helluva lot of cash.
He said he didn’t have to pay for “infrastructure improvement”, no “impact fees”, and yes, he does own the business and the building. Of course it could be confiscated, but you are kidding yourself if you think eminent domain isn’t used here for the same purpose.
Russia is promoting business, lowering taxes AGAIN, and fighting very hard in the cities to bust up the gangs (unlike here, where they are recruited to “get out the vote”)
Is it a utopia? Far from it I would imagine. But neither is America at this point.

One of the possible consequences of the left's relentless attacks on our national morality and culture is a strong backlash that can usher in our own 'Putin'. A dynamic leader to push back against the racists and dividers and the gays and atheists. I wonder if they ever think about that? If it ever came to the point where America turned to that type of leader things could get ugly.
It is quite possible to dislike both.
So don't come parachuting in as the defender of Russian social policy if you don't understand that simple fact.
