I would say, then:
Stop being a producer. Just stop. Then you don't have to pay income taxes. Then you will cease to be a financial supporter of the system you call tyrannical and loathesome.
Unauthorized US debt that is in the process of being contested would lead to a rapid destruction of the country’s credit rating and we would experience Weimar-like hyperinflation wiping out savings and other cash-based wealth.
I hear you but if Obama cuts out Congress on the debt ceiling he will face the USSC, I am pretty sure about that.
And when and if the USSC rules on Obama’s illegal and unconstitutional power grab, then Congress will need to respond. At that point, the coziness of their settings won’t be so important when they are deluged by constituent phone calls.

Frankly a lot more of us are consumers than producers.
In fact EVERYONE working, retired, or even on benefits is a consumer of some product or service. Our consumption produces wealth for the producers but also for the govt by the taxes we pay on what we consume and the wealth we create for the producers who are then taxed on it
Everyone has control over their economic participation in the obamaconomy as producer OR as a consumer
unfortunately consumer dropouts hurt a lot of producers who didn’t plan to go Galt, but that is the price of starving the beast. They can’t pay taxes to the govt if they don’t have income

Your view would be the emotional view but that will not be the view of those who are in positions of making the decisions. Decision makers regarding the US credit rating will wait before collapsing the rating because financial derivatives and third party contracts would bring down the entire world, not just the USA.
Your view would be similar to putting a gun to one’s head and saying if you don’t resolve your credit issues at this very moment I will pull the trigger on myself.
In the meantime the Ted Cruz strategy would be to hand an appropriation to Reid and Obama that pays the interest on the debt and raises the debt ceiling as necessary for specific purposes.

Very few in Congress ‘buckle’ to anything except a threat of withholding payment. They are too egotistical to be seen as cowering to threats with the exception of losing money.
Peter King (R-NY) is a hardened knucklehead with a New York big mouth who like other New Yorkers pride themselves on how tough they can sound regardless of how stupid they are. King is not going to ‘buckle’ for anyone except the person with the cash. King is a whore like so many others in Congress. He is counting on billions in Medicaid expansion from Obamacare.
Obama had the cash, now he doesn’t.
This is a fight over the cash and who controls it. Right now Boehner has the power of the cash. If Obama bypasses him, you can be assured that he and his lawyers will face the USSC. If he thumbs his nose at the USSC, then he faces the risk of losing the Senate in 2014.
I stick with Cruz as well. As he is an ally of Levin it is likely that he is aware of Levin’s theory.
I see no advantage to putting our heads in the sand about Obama’s intentions, and I think that the scenario that Levin paints is the most likely. He has dictatorial aspirations and likes to take care of real or manufactured crises. Once he seizes control of money allocations he can spin our country out if co tr that much faster. If the capital markets find that they cannot rely on the full faith and credit of the USA the. Our credit rating will plummet, our interest rate will skyrocket and the situation will be dire.
I hope that Cruz, whom I support, is developing a plan of action to prevent this from happening or to minimize its damage when it does.

We CONSERVATIVES know that there will be other future Federal Insurance Ponzi Schemes, right down to the Insurance Premium collected for the inhaling of the EPA ruled toxic gas CO2.
Then FIPCA will be there to collect that CO2 Insurance premium from all citizens.

If Boehner Caves In to the Court of Public Opinion, which is run by the Low Information Liberal “Mainstream” Media, and Obamacare is funded, Obama can then raise every year or quarter his Obamacare insurance premiums as high as he wants to, and the sorry US Congress can’t do anything about it.
Congress will thus be bypassed, and will no longer be needed in the future to fund the vote buying schemes of the social engineering POTUS.

Whose idea was it to plan a fight that depended so much on Bohner not giving inpublic under pressure when he is personally made the target for blame? Recall that he was claiming he wanted the stand to be on the debt limit not the CR.
Hopefully all this has pushed immigration off the table.
