The federal government has been blocking people from pulling off the side of the road to view Mt. Rushmore! This is government arrogance at its worst.
[The original article is from a source we cannot link to here on FR (Argus Leader).] This was taken from Kristi Noem's page (R-SD).
0bama may be close to overplaying his hand, there’s a rage building ...
I plan on going there in Dec. I hope it is open by then!
PING to still more from the “WTF?” files
Nobody will do anything about it. Makes me ill, They win!
Nazis are running this government. Pure and simple. It makes me want to puke to see what we have allowed the commie DemorRATS to do to OUR country!
I don’t recall in the last shutdown during Clinton’s term, did the government close everything that wasn’t nailed down? I don’t recall anything remotely to what Zero is doing.

Somebody renting lift trucks could make a killing. :-)
Obamugabe hates America.
It seems to me that if it is on a State route, the governor could legitimately close the route to these Federal employees who are shutting down the parks. Which means, that if the employees are not already there they could be blocked from getting there. Or, if they are already there, they could be trapped inside the Federal park and if they were to try to leave over the State route, they would technically be trespassing.
Think about it. The Obama government parses words, meanings and flouts the law, so why not the State governors.
IMHO. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.
...and just think, this is all because he wants to force people into his death-panel law.
...he wants to force Catholics and other people of conscience into paying for infanticide.
...he wants to force human beings into dependence upon a bureaucracy.
This is the idol of the Democrat party.
I truly hope he gets his face on Mt Rushmore, at 575mph at 8000 feet in AF-1.
WHAT?????? This got to be satire.
It’s time for the states to take back their parks and monuments. It’s obvious that BIG government can’t handle it anymore. “No more lookee! You bad man!”

Just an attempt to inflate the importance of and the need for government.
The fuhrer will tell us what we can see.
No satire here. Nor at the WWII memorial, Vietnam Vets or Iwo Jima. Arlington Cemetary is open only to foot traffic, no tour buses allowed in.
I remember when this stuff first started someone joked that Obama was going to put a drapery over Mt Rushmore. Looks like they weren’t far off!
Ping to Mark Levin.
There are good views from outside the pay/parking entrance, but I don't see how any government goons could stop you from parking roadside.
It’s on state 244. If you go around to the side, you can see it in profile from the roadway.
If I had one of those ‘Applause’ icons, I would give you one for that. This is but the most recent lesson of “Why Voters were stupid to reelect this ‘man’. Some will never learn, they have become fully domesticated Beasts of Burden.
I believe it is a state route, HWY 16 to HWY 244.
Oh shut up. I am no defeatist. We cannot allow these people to win.
Do you agree? Backing down would be the worst thing!
I keep thinking about that song “This Land is Your Land”. I think it was written in opposition to private ownership but it looks to me as though it now could apply against Federal Gov’t ownership.

It is not satire. The original article cannot be posted because of copyright issues here on FR. This is legit and the Governor is ticked.
As I see it, the REPUBLCANS need to start taking pictures of these outrageous shut downs and interviews. Since the MSM won’t cover it, they need to buy air time on TV. They must take it to the people and explain that these orders are coming from the DEMS. If they don’t take advantage of this, they lose.
That's what you said. It sounds pretty damn defeatist to me. I have no use for whiners.

He doesn't want it seen until the remodeling is done.
Duggard offered to have the state take it over and pay for it. NPS said no. Perhaps we should force the issue.

In your case. Get the **** out of the Way!

He is an illegitimate candidate, as well as a Saudi CIA mole.
He was PLACED into the Executive position by fraud!
Until we Ban the queeran, and remove the satanic scourge of islam from our shores, we will be little more than vassals of the house of saud.
Oh shut up. What are you doing other than posting here and acting like you are doing something. Talk is cheap! LOL Same shit I am doing. So get off your high horse and realize we rte in a fight. Geesh what a bunch of kooks.
I am crippled and I do not live near national monuments. Do you?
This reminds me of a friend’s demented parents who told him they could “make Christmas disappear.” They were upset with him about something and threatened to stop Christmas.
We’re being governed by “Mommy Dearest.”
Good one. I keep hoping he has access to loaded weapons and can make history by offing himself, unstable as he is.
I don’t remember Park Rangers being so busy as now.
At least that’s the impression I get.
All highways in a state are owned by the state, regardless of designation. This includes US and Interstate highways. They may have federal funding, but the state owns them.
For all, resistance can be as simple as going to your closest barrycades and requiring a small bit of attention. When there, co-opt the law enforcers by asking them to join in with a sickout of their own. Disrupt, make them expend more resources.
Building?
Check out the Healthcare.gov Facebook page comments.
The villagers have their pitchforks and torches out.
I am going to St. Louis next weekend. I guess I had better close my eyes when I come down the bluffs on I-55 so I don’t get a view of the Arch.
excellent!
