Hundreds of Thousands Losing Insurance Because of ObamaCare

The hits just keep coming with every day that brings us closer to the full implementation of ObamaCare. This vile piece of illegal legislation continually rains body blows to the gut of hardworking Americans. The mainstream media is starting to cover the story because the entire fiasco is just too big to ignore, but they're still doing their level best to cover up for Obama. Prepare yourself to continue hearing about the "glitches" on the government's $600 million plus website and for the media to keep replaying Obama's speech where the talks about how "incensed" he is over the faulty website. The only thing he's incensed about is that his administration's efforts to put the American people under the oppressive thumb of big government is behind schedule. Now many Americans are realizing one of the great lies Obama told where he said people could keep their own insurance policies if they wanted to. News has been breaking in the last few days of hundreds of thousands of people having their private insurance plans cancelled due to the onerous structure of ObamaCare.

In my home state of Florida, 300,000 people have had their policies cancelled by Florida Blue. An insurer in Philadelphia, Independence Blue Cross, has dropped 45% of its policies while Highmark Pittsburgh dropped 20% of its individual policies. Liberal Californians have received the news that 160,000 policies have been cancelled by Kaiser Permanente. Blue Shield of California has also cancelled 119,000 individual policies in that state as well.

If you're lucky enough to still have insurance, your premiums are skyrocketing. Many people are asking themselves why. The Obama administration and the media will lie through their teeth and blame the insurance companies, but the real culprit is ObamaCare. First and foremost, insurance companies are a business and they need to change their business strategy to fit the circumstances of the market. If they lose money, they go out of business. I know low information voters find this hard to grasp, but businesses need to make a profit to keep their doors open and continue to have people working for them. The government is the only entity that doesn't have to worry about profit/loss to keep on chugging along with taxpayer dollars fueling the inefficient engine of government.

The reason why ObamaCare is destroying the individual policy market is that all individual policies need to cover ten "essential benefits" under the law. These include such items as maternity and newborn care, mental health services and addiction treatment, and pediatric services. Now, I'm a single man so I have no need of maternity leave or pediatric services. I'm also not a drug addict or insane, so I do not need mental health services either. But yet, under ObamaCare, I'm forced to have them on my individual policy. Quite simply, this means a higher cost to me for any insurance plan that I can get. As noted in the Kaiser Health News, '“The arithmetic is inescapable,” said Patrick Johnston, chief executive officer of the California Association of Health Plans. Costs must be spread, so while some consumers will see their premiums drop, others will pay more -- “no matter what people in Washington say.”'

Yes, that pesky thing called math that liberals either ignore or attempt to manipulate. We cannot escape the cold hard truth that ObamaCare is a pyramid scheme that relies upon the premise of millions of young, healthy Americans signing up in order to pay for older people and for those with pre-existing conditions. It's also a grand scheme to control the most vital aspects of our lives. Progressive liberals keep selling fantasy and low information voters lap it up, but cold, hard reality is always there to slap them in the face. Still, I hold little hope that they'll blame Obama and his liberal allies for the situation, but rather just believe the lies and blame the cold, ruthless, evil, greedy insurance companies. Thank goodness that Dear Leader Obama is there to take care of them.

"He gazed up at the enormous face. Forty years it had taken him to learn what kind of smile was hidden beneath the dark moustache. O cruel, needless misunderstanding! O stubborn, self-willed exile from the loving breast! Two gin-scented tears trickled down the sides of his nose. But it was all right, everything was all right, the struggle was finished. He had won the victory over himself. He loved Big Brother."

Just got our renewal thru my husband’s job today. Our part went up to $538 a month for health, dental, and life. There are three of us. Two adults, one child. However, the adults only get 6 office visits A YEAR. Child is unlimited. Keeps going up and up, covering less and less. I am not supposed to hate, but I despise Obama!!

No, I’m an 80% service-connected disabled veteran. Who knows how long it’ll be “free” though with this crew in power.

I don’t recommend it. It isn’t worth the trouble.

You earned it then. It is the least America can do. Thanks for your service. I am Native American and could get everything free but it is not very good service. I won’t say terrible as it has gotten better. The worst part is the long waiting periods. But we better get used to it because with Obamacare, that is where everything is headed.

Until Obamacare implodes....I pay cash. With the cost of monthly payments and a $2500 premium....do the math.

Well, the beauty of it all is the fact that the responsible, conservative types who actually bought insurance in the past are probably not Obama voters. The ones who are Obama voters are the ones who will gain by having "subsidized" insurance at our expense.

Everything is going according to plan.

What is the Federal Government Form that we taxpayers can use to file to recover our taxpayer dollars spent by the Administration on the Obama’care’ Insurance Boondoggle?

Since the US House approved this waste of taxpayer money, should we file against the House majority Red Ink Republicans, or the House minority Red Ink Democrats?

About $450....it has been going up every year. But since Obamacare came on the scene, we had to go to the 6 office visit thing. Before that we had a Cadillac plan, which was GREAT insurance!!

This vile piece of illegal legislation continually rains body blows to the gut of hardworking Americans.

When you pass a law no one even read, the purpose of which was NOT to assist the citizen but to net him, spec-ed out by ideological, America-hating attack dogs , you have something so potentially confused that it is likely to simply destroy itself as we all stand and watch.

Mine is presently $284 so I guess I can expect it to go up at least $75 a month. :(
