National Report AKA Concern Troll Central.
From the first time I saw it, it was obviously a spoof site.
Right on. I noticed the same thing. I have friends who sometimes send me articles to vet for accuracy before they pass them on. National Report is just a scam.
I used to enjoy satire, but I have become weary of it. Too much activity on the left is a parody of itself that I don’t see the need. Now, it seems the left has taken up making satire of themselves to fool us. What’s the point? We know the left is bad.
Thank you for posting. I now know to scrutinize anything from national “report” more closely.
the left is horribly evil.
The problem is that some articles in isolation are not so obvious at all, and the result is what I describe.
The banner doesn't make you even slightly suspicious:
Having said that, maybe the management ought to put it on the "banned url" list (if it's not already), as, I guess, some folks might not pay attention...
There are much more serious things in the media to worry about, for example lies, willful ignorance and people who are impervious to facts.
Yup.
If anyone here needs this many words to detect BS, their BS Detector is in need of serious calibration.
“National Report is a Fake, Sham, Bogus, BS Website” would have done the job.
Perhaps you aren’t on Facebook, and not seeing many well-meaning conservatives spreading some of their articles virally as if they are real, falling for the disinformation, and playing into the deliberate paranoid caricature. Some articles in isolation are not obvious at all, especially to the unsophisticated.
I am warning of what is Alinsky tactic by the Left, which is succeeding phenomenally. Such articles are receiving hundreds of thousands of shares.
I care nothing for the LameStream Media sites (CNN, pMSNBC, etc.) and often read WND and the Drudge website, but somehow because I do not trust the examiner website which has been known to publish hazy reports from their CRs along with such notable happenings such as UFO and Mothership landings along with Bigfoot sightings, but somehow that translates into some people's minds that I therefore discount anything that is not from the major news outlets.
Examiner site and the nationalreport one you refer to are quite similar, and I would not be surprised to learn that they spring from identical sources. So do not be surprised when the same loudmouths that attack anyone that does not support their beloved site(s) begins flaming yet again. The mouthbreathers are simply too lazy to verify the reports on their own, so therefore if you say anything against them, well, you must be a bigoted racist against their beliefs.
Just FYI, mate.
Thanks, however I believe the people who write and post on Examiner.com are sincere if sometimes deluded, while National Report has some deliberate disinformation/Alinsky agents operating there.
> It seems National Report is composed of disinformation agents who are making a fortune (based on all the advertising & traffic) and having the time of their lives, mocking/caricaturing conservatives by pretending to be conservatives themselves, posting fake stories designed to dupe us.
Its not a particulary new tactic (disinformation tactics) but they’re using it to make conservatives and Tea Party members look bad. Expect a fake Tea Party mass killing party complete with guys dressed like hillbillies, carrying AR-15s, and a Gasden Flag next. The MSM will be onsite before it starts...
There are some tactics to make them pay dearly for engaging in this fraud but I’m not going to list in the public forums because they probably monitor this site among others. Information is a very powerful weapon...:especially when yours is true and theirs is not...: )
Read the staff profiles, look at their photos, and read their biographies. All caricatures and completely fictitious personas that make fun of the most negative conservative stereotypes. Note that they are collecting email addresses as well. The website took a little effort to do. I’d guess gay flaming liberal activists of the type who would have no problem throwing a flaming maltov cocktail up against your house under the cover of darkness in the usual cowardly fasion that they operate.
Glad someone gets it.
They portray themselves as a satire site, but what they fail to understand is that satire has no redeeming quality when used to attack conservatives and conservative values. And most troubling, is that satire is too often used in comedy and on leftist news sites to attack solid conservatives. Look at how comedians over the years have attacked Sarah Palin. It just never seems that the satire merchants are willing to promote a conservative viewpoint. Their satire so always deceiving.
National Report’s editor-in-chief just commented on my article, at the link. :)
PING!
