British establishment mouthpiece BBC leads the way again. This time it is about the biggest threat to democracy today. No, it is not terrorists. No, it is not Islamism. And, no, it is not the Western-Installed Dictator Regimes around the world. No, no, no, no, no. The new enemy is the conspiracy theorists. It is those who question their governments. It is those who find facts and confront the mainstream lies and liars such as BBC. Basically, it is you … and me. The problem is, the fact that the Obama Admin is spying on everyone does not prove that they are covering up Planet Nibiru or Comet Elenin or the next over-the-top conspiracy fad.

Nor does it mean that the Bush Admin either let 9/11 happen or made 9/11 happen.

The two factors feed on each other - the increasing powers and opacity of government fuel the paranoia, some of it justified, by those pushing conspiracy theories. But in the end, a conspiracy theory has to have a certain level of plausibility that fit the facts and/or observations that we have and not just be regurgitated nonsense like many of the FEMA camp pictures that were anything but upon further research.
