Actually I don’t worry too much about it, CDY. But someone’s first and only post should not be using JimRob’s site to advertise himself. JMO
I apologize for the “we”, should’ve left that out, I guess.
Dittos. If the posted here article is interesting many of us will note and visit.
It's the only reason I play the lottery.
Funny I thought the same. If I ever win the mega lotto I would buy acres and acres of land and start a conservative community NO LIBERALS ALLOWED
Unless I missed something, all he said was that Sarah Palin was not popular in Anchorage.
Anaheim is listed as one of the top ten cities in the country to live in for conservatives.
Ronald Reagan made California a welcome place for conservatives...and his bailiwick was HOLLYWEIRD. Go figure.
So few people do spend time discussing politics, in real live company, because it is one of the things NOT to discuss. Religion and sex are the other topics to avoid.
From the Internet:
1. Religion
You shouldn't discuss your religious beliefs or your thoughts about other religious beliefs at work. Religion is a very personal issue and people are very sensitive about it. They don't want to hear that you disagree with their religious beliefs or that you believe your religion is the one in which everyone should believe.
2. Politics
This is another sensitive issue, particularly around election time. While you may feel very strongly about your political party or candidate, or have negative views about the opposition, you should not try to win your co-workers over to your point of view.
3. Your Sex Life
Why shouldn't you talk about your sex life? Simply because it's no one's business other than yours and your partner's. Other than that, it makes people uncomfortable. Taken to the extreme, it may even border on sexual harassment.
4. Problems With Your Spouse, Your Children, or Your Parents When you discuss problems you are having with others, your co-workers and your boss may wonder if those problems are distracting you from doing your job. Talking about your problems with your family will reveal your weaknesses. You don't want to do this, especially if you are in a position of authority.
5. Your Career Aspirations
Talking about how you want to move on to something bigger and better will certainly, for good reason, make your boss and co-workers question your loyalty to your current job. If you are interested in moving up within your current organization, your actions will speak louder than words. Do your job exceptionally well, and of course, let your boss know you want to move up, but don't make it the topic of workplace conversations with anyone who will listen.
6. Your Health Problems
Don't dwell on your health problems at work. If you do, you will give your co-workers and boss reason to wonder if an illness will keep you from doing your job. Of course, serious health issues that will cause you to take time off, must be discussed with your employer. No one, however, needs specific details about your health.
Anaheim California....really? If I remember correctly they have Disneyland fenced off from the riff raft.
LOLOLOL! That is the same here! Many times I forget or just don’t care. If I stop to fill up the truck and there isn’t a line of people pulling numbers from dreams, or body orfices I might play. Maybe.
When oldest son was managing a convenience store/gas station he pleaded to get the lottery machine removed. It kept other customers from making their purchases.
He was correct of course but around a year later they let him go. That turned out OK as he now manages a beer distributer that threw the dang machines out for the same readpson.
Actually the few Freepers that have talked about books they wrote have been pretty great, IMO.
(Sorry to those I forgot; LS and Travis McGee are the two that immediately jumped to mind.)
If he had posted here I would have known. His website does not work for me.

Socialism never works. Neither does blog pimping on FR. Both are proven to fail over and over and over. Yet some people continue to insist their way is better.

Don’t forget Jeff Head. He does a fantastic job.
The farther from the tallest buildings, the better.
Yup. I had the misfortune to be at a conference in Anaheim. The sponsoring organzation will never have another one there. If you didn’t have family with you, and didn’t feel like visiting Disneyland or Knott’s Berry Farm there wasn’t much to do except hang around your hotel. I did decide to walk some distance from the hotel/conference center area, and it’s a good thing I did it during the day. Area is overrun with questionably “documented” folks, and someone with our group was robbed nearby by bandits on a motorcycle.

Bub, you need a learn something really fast if you expect to remain around here long. And it here it is...
Sarah Palin IS this Tea Partier's cup of Tea!!
Take a wild guess who the guy in the Navy cap and shirt is...
I live in the city. Every morning I go out to the beach area, where the hang gliders fly in the afternoon and all day long people walk their dogs. Ocean and dogs, two of God's finest creations.
I have a green belt of trees across the street. We USED to have possums but they are gone. We still have hawks, owls, bluebirds, robins, you name it.
My neighbors are quiet, decent folks. They DID have some car trouble last night so some big ole honker truck came by this morning to tow it away. These new tow trucks are a block long and sound like tanks!
True story: I was watering the yard, down a hill, and saw a robin at the bottom of the hill and squirted him with the hose...from 50 feet or so. I shouldn't have squirted him, I suppose, but he's a ROBIN. I thought they LIKED water. The robin looked up and me and glared. I swear he GLARED.
A little later, we had some friends over and we were out in the yard, on the deck, and that same robin DIVE-BOMBED me, trying to squirt me with his poop!!!
Moral of the story: DON'T piss off robins! They have a temper.
Second thought: we have several pyracantha bushes around and if birds eat the berries, they get crazy-like symptoms. Maybe the robin was pissed off AND high as a kite.
Riff raft? Those things are tricky on Splash Mountain.
