Security: Computer security experts testify that the unfinished health care marketplace portal places the personal information of millions at risk on a poorly designed and built site that is a hacker's dream.
Not only is the poorly designed and still only partially built ObamaCare website, Healthcare.gov, vulnerable to attack by computer hackers, it already may have been comprised, cybersecurity expert David Kennedy told a House Science, Space, & Technology Committee hearing on Tuesday.
"Hackers are definitely after it," said Kennedy, CEO of data security firm Trusted SEC. "And if I had to guess, based on what I can see ... I would say the website is either hacked already or will be soon."
We've written about the security "glitch" that let a stranger download the personal information of Thomas Dougall of South Carolina from the website.
Then there's Lisa Martinson of Missouri, who called Healthcare.gov's customer service after forgetting her password and was told three people were given access to her account, address and Social Security number.
Kennedy even ran a hacker demonstration, showing the congressmen the website's vulnerabilities and how he could pull sensitive information from it. He was one of four experts who testified of the risks of 500 million lines of untested Healthcare.gov computer code.

The really scarey thing about the Obamacare website is that it is a system of systems (i.e., it relies on and exchanges data with IRS, SSA and many other systems). Hackers will inevitably gain access to major details about your personal life. Nobody’s information will be safe.

How bad could those navigators be with our SS#s, DOB, full name and addresses required to enroll?.
Even if they are here illegally and use a few identities themselves they are probably good honest hard working people, who vote regularly.

Last year, someone used my wife's social security number to enter a tax return. It took almost a year to get it resolved and finally receive our return. Once that happens to you, you become paranoid about entering personal info online.

Cuz its the government, you have no recourse. They will tell you to go to hell if your info is stolen. They require people to sign up at a site that is insecure.
If this were a legitimate business, they would be fined.

And it’s not a glitch. It’s a deliberate design failure.

Nobody will doing anything until massive fraud and/or identity theft have occurred. After all, no one did anything about obamacare until the SHTF, even though all thinking people already knew that what is happening now is exactly what was going to happen. It’s the way government works. Especially government by “Progessive” ideologues.

It IS specifically illegal for the federal government to open a site which has not been certified as secured...but it appears that the Obama administration changed the designation type so that the requirement doesn’t apply.
