Yet another calculated, ObamaCare assault on healthcare providers has been ferreted out of the 2700 impenetrable pages (plus revisions) of Barack Obamas signature achievement.
Doctors and hospitals nationwide can already expect to be paid a pittance for their services to ObamaCare patients. And now, yet another financial blow to providers has been discovered.
The Affordable Care Act created a 90-day grace period before insurers can drop policy holders who fall behind on premiums. So, delinquents who obtain tax-subsidized health insurance through an Obamacare health insurance exchange have three months to settle up their bills prior to their policy being canceled. (1)
In short, if you are among the ObamaCare enrollees who receive a subsidy from the Federal Government, you are awarded a 90 day grace period before your insurance company can cancel your policy for non-payment. Its a rule which applies to anyone who secures their subsidized coverage through an ObamaCare exchange.

Didn’t the Grand Wizard of the White House make a RULE that insurance companies can GUESSTIMATE medical costs because rates haven’t been established? You think those GUESSTIMATES won’t be outrageously high?

How long has the left been demonizing Insurance companies, medical device companies and drug companies?
They have shot their wad on those, the insurance and medical device companies are finished, dead men walking. They are dead and don’t know it.
Drug companies will be next.
And behind them will be the hospitals themselves. Just watch.
The demonization will begin when they can’t treat patients because they will be forced to cut back on staffing, equipment and schedules.
The Left will say they are being selfish, and should treat people even if at a loss.
It is all laid out in “Atlas Shrugged”. I hate it when Ayn Rand is right about things.
“I’m SHOCKED by this” said no intelligent person ever.
Yeah. Wait until we see the “Preservation of Patient Treatment Act.”
Nobody will be allowed to be fired. Nobody will be allowed to leave their job. Changing jobs will have to go through a board. And so on.
I would think that the courts would make the insurance companies pay regardless of what CMS says, if the law provides a 90 day grace period.
There was an article posted yesterday, that CMS is coming down on hospitals for paying their patient’s premiums.
The smart doctor will wait for 91 days after a policy was issued and double check before providing treatment.
Is that why my Obamacare exchange has no doctors in it?
That %5K deductible means little with no doctors
Well the important thing is I am ‘covered’ now and the insurance companies can no longer take that away.
