CAMILLE PAGLIA: WAR ON MEN DESTROYING AMERICAN CULTURE
Breitbart.com ^ | 1 Jan 2014 | Camille Paglia

Posted on 01/02/2014 2:04:21 PM PST by TexasCajun

In a recent Wall Street Journal interview, Paglia, now 66, demonstrated that she has not strayed from her role as the self-described “notorious Amazon feminist” who is quick to lambaste the movement and its orthodoxy.

Weiss observed, however, that the topic that gets the greatest rise out of Paglia is how attempts to dismiss the biological differences between men and women have influenced the collapse of Western civilization.

The diminished status of military service is only the start of the decline of the culture, according to Paglia.

"The entire elite class now, in finance, in politics and so on, none of them have military service—hardly anyone, there are a few. But there is no prestige attached to it anymore. That is a recipe for disaster," she says. "These people don't think in military ways, so there's this illusion out there that people are basically nice, people are basically kind, if we're just nice and benevolent to everyone they'll be nice too. They literally don't have any sense of evil or criminal

"Primary-school education is a crock, basically. It's oppressive to anyone with physical energy, especially guys," she says, and observes how difficult it is for boys in schools that have discontinued recess.

"They're making a toxic environment for boys. Primary education does everything in its power to turn boys into neuters."

According to Weiss, Paglia says the women’s movement needs to get back to "serious matters, like rape in India and honor killings in the Muslim world, that are more of an outrage than some woman going on a date on the Brown University campus.”

Media. Education. Hollywood. Three enemies.

Isolate television advertisements as a study. Males are humiliated nonstop and in three examples slapped in the face by women. Men are lit on fire, burned to create an image. It is offensive.

It is actually the war the left has on human nature, not just men.

Look at what they prefer to do to little babies regardless of gender.

Amen, Paglia! The regime knows that a society devoid of those who might physically resist their oppression is a conquered society. Hence, we have a war on boys. When females get aggressive they're 'assertive' and rewarded. When males get aggressive they're 'hostile' and demonized as hateful.

It's all about the government eliminating all threats by empowering feminists, homosexuals, and emasculated boys and crushing masculinity or the "physical energy" of real men.

Scaring private industry into passing over more-qualified men to hire less-qualified women and minorities is the Left’s greatest crime. Once meritocracy in hiring was superseded by affirmative action, the line between “independent business” and “arm of government” became forever blurred.

I may have to start praying for Camille Paglia, the last thing you do when you are in a group of vicious sheep like the liberals is become a Heretic... heretics to the Liberal Establishment often become room temperature....

I saw this coming years ago when every sitcom turns into a chance for male-bashing. Some advertisers will go out of their way not to include white males, when even children, in their commercials. When they do portray white male children, the child is often standing alone, while the other children associate in pairs and activity groups. Most Colleges around here advertise showing only women and only girls, as though it were a sorority. The advertising embeds the notion with some people that higher education is only something women are interested in. Now the colleges don’t understand why so few men are applying to get in. Duh!

Can you name one Republican who is a real man?
Just one?

OK, maybe Ted Cruz or Jeff Sessions.

Not much out there beyond that.

Get ready for Hillary. There are no real men out there to challenge her.

Although I seldom agree with Paglia, I do find her interesting and well-spoken.

I feel the same way about Dershowitz. I disagree with them both constantly, but I don’t find them to be complete lunatics, like so many on the left.

Camille Paglia is a strange one for sure.

A feminist who criticizes N.O.W. & who speaks on the War on Men.

Yes, that's her.

She would know...

Yep, that's what I thought too.

I was curious about what she had to say on the topic.

Sounds like she doesn't think much of Pajama Boy.

Tammy Bruce is another. She would go far in Politics if she could moderate her naturally shrill voice.

It is refreshing when a liberal can value reason, honesty and objective truth.

Another insightful analysis. I would much rather read the thoughts of Paglia - a liberal lesbian feminist - than the repetitive drone of Hannity or the incoherent babbling of Beck.

So much for orthodoxy.

She's fearless.

Back in the early nineties, I had a friend who incessantly tried to convert me to liberalism. He bought me a book by Paglia ("Vamps and Tramps") and thought that would do it. Well, I loved the book but it only reinforced my political beliefs.

I think she's one of a dying breed of "liberaltarians". Always fun to read.

Paglia is my favorite lesbian, feminist author. The list is pretty short to be sure. She is confused about a lot of things, but she has always been a defender of masculinity and the American male. She is a rare breed.

Did anyone else notice that virtually everyone on TV on New Year’s Eve was gay? Not sure what it means, but it was striking.

The commercial for some cholesterol drug is a perfect example. The “man” in the commercial acts like some kind of combination of a fifteen year old girl, a small child and a nitwit. His wife and young son look on indulgently.

"They're making a toxic environment for boys. Primary education does everything in its power to turn boys into neuters."

Not so much in TX (thank God).

My son's 1st grade teacher was going through a divorce and took it out on the boys.

But, his 5th grade teacher was cool and let the boys be boys for the most part. She expected boys to do their work, but she took in stride their more physical behaviors. One little boy of India descent wrote and told, in a very animated way, a tall tale of combat - lopping off the arms of his adversaries with a broadsword... and much more. She smiled politely and praised his creativity (it really was a great story and extremely well delivered). If he told this in Kalifornia, his parents would have been jailed and the boy would have been put in the foster care of a lesbian couple.

I've been pointing out to my sister that a substantial percentage of the HGTV profiles feature gay couples purchasing property (and other similar programs she watches). She's nary-to-bright and hadn't picked up on this programming "feature". Desensitized. Mission accomplished.

Not to mention that HGTV was touting they were going to cover the Rose Bowl Gay Parade live.

Actually, HGTV is one of the few stations I still watch. If you can get over the gay predominance on that station as well, there are interesting programs.

The majority of this anti-male hysteria and persecution is mainly women working their personal issues out on the rest of society.
