Homophobia is a made-up word. Either it is a warranted fear because homosexuals are dangerous, or it is an unwarranted fear which would make it an illness and disability which should justify treatment and compassion rather than attacks and threats of job loss and financial ruin. If it was the latter, it would be homosexualphobia because homo is a prefix for many things.

Bloomberg has this absolutely amazing lede about the rise in STD's. I mean this is one of those that you just have to shake your head at. Not because their slant is atypical. It's just that normally they at least try to hide it...a little.
