Christie could make it up to the voters of Ft Lee by
giving them a waiver on something or other. Seems to
work OK for a certain other politician.

Interesting that the voters were forgotten in this little battle. Who do these politicians think they are punishing here?

You’d think at some point people (Americans?) would realise they’ve been had and start an uprising or something.

This is shocking, straight out of a banana republic’s political establishment.

This is what all of our politicians have become. It’s all about them and their power over us. Top to bottom, Obama to the dawg catcher.

The media keeps referring to Christie as a rising star in the Republican Party. They need to be corrected. He is a rising star in the R I N O Party.

A major shift in thinking needed along with some not so gentle persuasion.

I think they really expected the “right” to rally around Christie or something.

Not going to happen, not even he has enough gravity

“No tolls for a year?”

Sure, but being a West Coaster I don’t even know if
that bridge is of the toll variety.

I don’t think he can rise any more, although he is a balloon full of hot air

Better believe that if there’s a way to extract money from commuters the politicians will find a way to get it. It’s free heading west but $13 to NYC - give or take:http://www.panynj.gov/bridges-tunnels/tolls.html

Christie already has had far more coverage of this (local scandal) than Obama or Holder have had on DOJ eavesdropping or IRS persecution of tea party groups (national dictatorship).

Something definitely wrong with this picture.

Christie’s raw abuse of power, Mafia-style, has come back to bite him in his ample butt.

Christie is a rising star only in his own mind, or in an alternate universe.

Aren’t state bridge and road tolls set by the state legislatures, and not by the governor? He wouldn’t have any authority to give out freebies, would he? Besides, IIRC, the NJ legislature is all demonRATs, and they want Krispy Kreme to suffer on this gaffe.
