In a culture where premarital sex (fornication, that ignored sin) has been utterly normalised to the point where it has become part of the growing experience of the average individual, dont expect political dividend from criticising the same.
Someone posted here a few weeks ago about a conversation he (she?) had with his daughter (high school or college age), who had been dating a boy for about six months and then the boy broke up with her because she refused to have sex with him.
The preachers should also save some energy and attention for the males with these attitudes. The burden is overwhelmingly placed on the woman to enforce the morals. The immoral males will simply shrug and go on to the next "easy" woman, and the moral woman is left abandoned.
Note I said "males" and not "men." A man is responsible.
Great point, and yes, we have to go after the males as well.
A desirable abandonment, IMHO. He is not worthy of her.
You may have no real idea of how true your statement really is. Far too many people who should know better hold the woman almost completely responsible for enforcing the morality. They are, for reasons I can not understand, willing to give the man an almost complete pass for his actions.
