The differences between the Old Soviet Union and Barack Obamas America are dwindling away. This should be disturbing to all Americans but there are actually a certain percentage of our people, (Romneys 47%) who believe 1984s Freedom is Slavery motto and are happy being led around like farm animals. If you think we have been losing our freedoms youre right. A recent American Thinker article, by a Russian émigré now living in the San Francisco area, paints a portrait of a drab suffocating existence under Communist rule, and made some solid comparisons between our lives today and the way he lived in Russia.
While we are still far away from life under actual commissars, the numbers of similarities are already frightening.

This was the purpose the left saw in electing a black man. They knew they would have the race card to play and that he could push the limits of all laws and constitutionality with little or no resistance.

So, as in all countries with socialized medicine, a two-tier system was created: one for the gray masses and the other, with a completely different level of service, for the bureaucrats and their intellectual servants. In the USSR, it was often the case that while workers and peasants were dying in the state hospitals, the medicine and equipment that could save their lives was sitting unused in the nomenklatura system.
A drab suffocating existence under Communist rule and it only took five years to complete.
Almost every parallel can be laid at the feet of the compliant press, and that includes Fox. Fox News has joined the war against the TEA Party. Think of that every time you see Karl Rove’s fat face on the screen.
