"..........I differ with Cruz on a number of things and think his misguided behavior in the shutdown hurt the GOP and the cause of conservatism. Nevertheless, just as Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) is leading the right to a more constructive, positive domestic agenda, Cruz can do the same on foreign policy. If he does continue his defense of a strong U.S. foreign policy, he can help himself, his party and his country.

Wonder when Rubin is going to stop pretending to be conservative.
Sound at both video links work.
Sorry for any confusion.
Cruz does a masterful job of explaning how Obama’s “grand experiment” of leading from behind and abandoning those who would be free, has given free reign and a more stable footing to tyrants. And he doesn’t stop there. Cruz describes what we need to do.
“............In his September 11, 2012 in an op-ed in the New York Times, Putin wrote that, And I would rather disagree with a case that President Obama made on American exceptionalism, stating that the United States policy is what makes America different. Its what makes us exceptional. Putin continued It is extremely dangerous to encourage people to see themselves as exceptional, whatever the motivation. Now I am going to say something that might surprise you, I agree with Mr. Putin. I agree that if you look through the reaches of history it has been very, very dangerous for tyrants and autocrats and despots when Americans realize we are exceptional and when we stand up and defend liberty whether it was the tyranny of Nazi Germany that brave American GIs bled to free the world from that oppression, or whether it was the grotesque evil that was Soviet communism whose gulags murders millions. And once again the American people, particularly under the leadership of President Ronald Reagan, stood up, embraced American exceptionalism and said, we are a nation that recognized every heart yearns to breathe free. American exceptionalism has cause tyrants to tumble. So Mr. Putin is right to be nervous about American exceptionalism, and I very much hope Mr. Obama doesnt follow Mr. Putins advice.”
Sure hope it’s soon. Imagine having to straddle a fence all the time. :)
Ted Cruz Ping!
If you want on/off this ping list, please let me know.
Please beware, this is a high-volume ping list!
If his filibustering on Obamacare hurt him then how come he has raked in over 4 million dollars in contributions, most coming after that?
I would think that should be written as, "...given free rein...to tyrants", and not "free reign"..
Free reign is a variation of the term "freedom reign" or "reign of freedom", which describes the ultimate state of being, where freedom rules.
Free rein, the unlimited ability to do what you want without consequence, would correctly describe what tyrants have.
Sorry for the correction. ;)
Rubin is a very smart lady who follows a somewhat doctrinaire line.
Can’t believe people are still prating about Bonnie and Clyde’s government shutdown and blaming it on Cruz.
I fully understand and appreciate your help.
