Governor Nikki Haley of South Carolina signed S.308 into law today, February 11th. The reform restores the rights of armed Americans to eat in the same restaurants as the rest of the population. South Carolina is one of the last states to restore this right. Depending on definitions, between one and four states still restrict people who are exercising their second amendment rights from obtaining service in places that serve alcohol. North Dakota law allows legally armed people into portions of establishments that serve alcohol, for example. Louisiana may be the last state to have a complete prohibition. A bill to reform the law passed the Louisiana House in 2013 by 64-24, but did not make it through the entire legislative process.
Private property owners rights are protected by the bill, which allows establishments to refuse service to armed Americans by placing appropriate signage or by asking legally armed people to leave the premises.
The bill goes into effect immediately.

Nikki Haley is a star!
The biggest deterrent for the Japanese to attack the US mainland after the successful attack on Pearl Harbor was the fact that American citizens have the right to bear arms, and that made all civilians militia.
She said she supports constitutional carry. No permit or training required.
...and quietly moving up the ranks. I just hope she can take the “Palinzing” she’s going to get from the media after the midterms.
Which is one of the reasons I support a Swiss style, military rifle, magazine and ammunition in the home of every citizen not convicted of a violent felony. I also believe that those that receive Pell Grants and School loans should be required to take a class that covers basic first aid, procedures and obligations of a draft/call-up, basic firearm safety, basic rifle maintenance, the constitution along with the bill of rights and lastly, basic firearms marksmanship.
The reason that we write Laws is to protect the innocent and punish those who violate the laws.
The reason that we write Regulations is to make sure that a given violation “NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN.”
Thus, Regulations appeal to our “Everybody is a Victim” Society.
Laws appeal to a Society that believes in protection and punishment.
Gov. Haley has put South Carolina in the Society of Protection and Punishment.
Nikki Haley is a star!
I am still pissed at her for endorsing Romney way earlier than she needed too.
Kikki is strong, Nikki is smart and Nikki is tough....
If you disagree with Nikki, you are sexist
Except for those Americans who happen to live in the state of Georgia. It quite bothers me that even though SC is a neighboring state, there is no way for me to legally carry in SC unless I own real estate there.
Where did you hear that?
