Skip to comments.“Jonah” Obama loses another vote: Chattanooga VW workers don’t care what he wants

You wont hear much about this weeks defeat for the United Auto Workers. The thugs were trying to unionize Volkswagens Chattanooga plant workers. This was no ordinary defeat. It is best described as a death knell for the UAWs efforts to unionize the South and forcibly use the increase in union dues to finance further destruction of America by their pals in the Democrat Party. Thats over now.
There were a few important reasons for the kick in the teeth the union took, but one you certainly wont hear mentioned is that Jonah Obama who brings defeat to Democrats wherever he goes had jumped into the fight to steal workers liberties and predictably his efforts produced nothing.
You wont hear about this because the media is still...

The King will rule by executive order. It shall be done.
The biggest non-story not reported by the 4th Estate.
Yeah, the ultimate result of this is that Obama will now probably implement Card Check.
Just wait until Obama uses his executive pen and phone, along with the N LRB, along with the IRS, to make union membership compulsory, right before the feds start to nationalize those industries, for the common good of the party of course. And if you’re not a member of the democratic party, don’t bother to apply.
These people aren’t stupid, they know exactly how to set up a fascist dictatorship, and the only thing stopping them are an armed, informed minority of Americans.
Union dues will be going up for the government union employees.
My brother-in-law is a big union guy. Of course, he’s blaming Republicans instead of coming to the realization that the workers didn’t want it and voted against it.
Who else wants to bet that Obama’s illegal NLRB will rule this election void and call for another one?
Even after looking at the link I cannot make the “Jonah” connection. How is Obama like Jonah (if the biblical Jonah is being referenced)?

Both have attracted a lot of flies.
Thugs may run NY, Jersey and Vegas but they are not welcome in Tennessee...a state where you keep more of what you earn!
A “Jonah” is a piece of bad luck in slang and nautical terms.
“My brother-in-law is a big union guy. Of course, hes blaming Republicans instead of coming to the realization that the workers didnt want it and voted against it.”
Those “big union guys” can’t explain to potential members how their contributions of decades have been squandered and they still lost their jobs.
Apparently 165 VW workers did not bother to vote.
That’s a bunch of hanging chads out there. Or a car trunk full of absentee ballots in Seattle.
That seems incoherent. First, who are The Republicans? Next did they vote to keep the union out or was it the workers at VW? Then again I seriously doubt logic entered into the decision...
My brother was a big union guy in New Zealand ..he used to fly everywhere..made lots of money...
In New Zealand you cant get a job unless you are in a union..
there are no open shop jobs..or at lest there never used to be...
I think we should just acknowledge his as kind and then give him the Louis XVI treatment...and the cow he’s married to too.
This writer doesn't have access to much media. I bet I've personally read over 20 stories about it.
No kidding. Including on the front page of the Journal. But nobody reads that, right?
If they fabricate the necessary number of votes, those workers will be making some other type of autos in a few years (without unions).
The workers voted to keep them out. But of course the unions need a scapegoat so he’s blaming Senator Corker and the Republicans.
The NLRB already ruled the election was fair. Of course they could reverse that.
LOL, Corker huh...I doubt he had any influence in this. I think he and Alexander are on the way out. Anyway, in this economy who wants to pay union dues for no benefit.
One of the workers who voted “no” was on Fox & Friends this morning. He’s making $3 more an hour than he would get if they were unionized—the union doesn’t have anything to offer him worth that much of his paycheck.
When the UAW allowed “tier 2” in their existing plant contracts, they lost any wage appeal.
Most of the non union assy plants are paying more than UAW tier 2 and the employees don’t have to pay the 2hrs/mo dues.
I just read Michael Barone’s column about the Chattanooga vote. He says he suspects the union will try to have the vote overturned by appealing to the Obama appointees on the NLRB.
Can the NLRB nullify the election or actually force the unionization?
My guess is if they vote again, the outcome won’t change.
I’m not knowledgeable on labor law.
