Presidents Day: University textbook claims Reagan was sexist, Conservatives view people as incapable of charity, lazy
February 16, 2014 by Charlie Kirk
University of South Carolina textbook has one student whistleblower outraged over its accusations that President Ronald Reagan was sexist and conservatives view people as incapable of charity and lazy.
The textbook, obtained by Turning Points USA Founder Charlie Kirk, was authored by Karen K. Kirst-Ashman and used for the three credit course Introduction to Social Work Profession and Social Welfare.

I sense that the reason that there are no portraits of the author being referenced by the search engines ive used to determine what she might look like..is that shes as homely as she is virulant!!
conservatives’ core is that people are charitable and do a better job of it than government. We view people as hard working unless they are given incentive not to be.
This characterization is ignorance, at best.
Actually, it's the liberals/progressives/totalitarian leftists who view people incapable of "charity." That's why they want to concentrate unlimited power in the hands of the government to "redistribute" people's wealth -- because they believe that there will be no "charity" if it's not coerced at the point of a gun.
Wouldn’t it be nice if politics really WAS that simplistic?
Too bad Liberals never develop past that kind of thinking.
White men need not apply.
Calling today's public education bureaucracy ignorant is being charitable, pun not intended.
Their intent is to mislead, like the good marxists they are.
This needs to be ripped out by the roots.
One other obvious point, to those who are rational. A denial of the basic nature of human life is the absolute worst possible preparation for "Social Work."
For an approach to human interaction between the sexes, which totally repudiates the Feminist lunacy: Feminist Delusion.
I suspect that the writer of the silly text book probably also believes that she honors her sex by suggesting that the right to abort an almost fully developed baby is essential to respect for women. Of course it is an insult to every decent feminine American woman, and a total inversion of reason.
It’s about 2 generations too late for that.
A scientific person should be disciplined by the data. What is the observed correlation between (1) “work” and “conservative” and (2) “charity” and “conservative”? I don’t think either (simple) correlation is very significant.
Incidentally, here is how Thomas Jefferson, one of Reagan's models, explained a Welfare system, that actually worked, in terms of Christian charity:
So the guy writes a book for people who will only be employable in government jobs, and he criticizes small government conservatives? I’m shocked, SHOCKED.
