Man having dominion over the animals leaves room for a lot of leeway.
There are many things other people do to animals that I wouldn't do. Eating veal, for one example, and cockfighting or bullfighting, for two more.
That doesn't mean that I would criminalize any person for engaging in such activity.
Just because something offends my sensibilities doesn't mean it should be illegal for everyone.
If someone decides to pursue happiness by raising veal or fighting bulls, I won't be their judge.
I'll express my opinion, I'll try to stigmatize their behavior as uncivilized, but I won't fall into the trap of criminalizing what they enjoy, because I don't want them to criminalize me using similar authoritarian logic.
