By Robert Farago on February 23, 2014

“In 2002, only 194 babies were named Colt,” the dailybeast.com reports, “while in 2012 there were 955. Remington, for both girls and boys, spiked in the last few years as well, starting at 731st place in 1999 and jumping to 421nd a decade later.

What about Tim Gunn, Shell Oil, or Scope Mouthwash? What about Target or Cracker Barrel? When will the NFL change the name of the shotgun and pistol formations? Where does it end?

If I had another boy (doubtful) or my daughter had a son, I’d urge “Ruger”.

There is the girl’s name “Duci”, which means “rich in war”. Its origin is Old English, and it is used mostly in Hungary.

When she grows up and has children, she will then be:

“Ma Duci”.

And of course, there's Tom Mauser, one of the most despicable people I've ever encountered.

His son Dan was killed at Columbine, and Tom has made a very good living pimping his dead kid ever since.
