The Annotated Obama MAR 1, 2014 BY WILLIAM KRISTOL
President Obama spoke for 90 minutes this afternoon with President Putin of Russia about the situation in Ukraine. President Obama expressed his deep concern over Russias clear violation of Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity, which is a breach of international law, including Russias obligations under the UN Charter, and of its 1997 military basing agreement with Ukraine, and which is inconsistent with the 1994 Budapest Memorandum and the Helsinki Final Act. The United States condemns Russias military intervention into Ukrainian territory.
President Obama told President Putin that Russia had promised repeatedly that if the Ukrainians liked their country, they could keep it. It's bad of President Putin to break this promise.
Paragraphs Two and Three:
The United States calls on Russia to de-escalate tensions by withdrawing its forces back to bases in Crimea and to refrain from any interference elsewhere in Ukraine. We have consistently said that we recognize Russias deep historic and cultural ties to Ukraine and the need to protect the rights of ethnic Russian and minority populations within Ukraine. The Ukrainian government has made clear its commitment to protect the rights of all Ukrainians and to abide by Ukraines international commitments, and we will continue to urge them to do so.

I’m sure Putin didn’t just listen for 90 minutes, I sure would of like to hear his side of the conversation.
Ozero probably spent much time complaining Putin was making him look bad, I mean c’mon Puty aren’t we suppose to be working on the communism thing together.
Was Putin watching Nascar with Caliph Baraq on speaker phone ?
It is paradoxical to hear that Obama was lecturing someone on breaking the law. People who live in glass houses.....
This is what the phone conversation really sounded like:
(Obama): “Now Pooh, uh old boy, You know you are beginning to make bad choices and I am greatly concerned. (Uh... This is your last warning, pal and I mean it. I really, really mean it. This time I mean it...uh, believe me I mean it.”
(Putin): “Yeah, yeah, sure, sure...”
Did he actually speak to Putin or simply play 90 minutes of his past speeches from an iPod into the phone? After all, that went over so well with Queen Elizabeth...
You owe me a keyboard!
Putin immediately gave the order to withdraw the troops from Crimea.
*I don’t need the tag, right?*
The problem is we really don’t know what the truth is. These are the facts I believe.
Obama is in Putin’s pocket. Putin probably has dirt on Obama.
Putin doesn’t like Soros, and vice versa.
Soros was doing in the Ukraine what he did here. Soros orchestrated a campaign against Putin’s guy, the way he did against Bush.
Ukraine has the same tricked out voting machines, as we have here, in Venezuela, etc, So Putin’s guy didn’t have the popular vote.
Obama said there will be costs.
I would say this pretty much sums it up:
Despite the tough talk from the Obama administration, Ian Bremmer believes there is a “near-zero” chance of any direct military conflict between the U.S. and Russia.
Anyone hear the call for Congress to declare war, increase taxes, start the draft, and get Rosie the Riveter building ships and planes? or is this all muscle beach show?
Putin likely had his phone on mute and played Warcraft or Starcraft while Obama begged.
I’m pretty sure Putin simply left his phone on speaker, while cleaning his guns and only acknowledged Obama briefly, to let him know the line was still connected....
We need to re-work and re-release a 70’s “Rock Opera”.
Here is a start (Music swelling) Chorus begins:
Who are you, do you know your Daddy’s name?
