If he has the goods, Putin is in an incredibly powerful position right now.

Imagine him going on TV, declaring that Obama is ineligible to hold the office of President, putting forth evidence supporting his claim and saying that he will no longer recognize an illigitimate regime or it’s actions.

I don’t really see the point in sanctions anyway. Our state department hands out waivers like candy to politically connected companies and countries we owe money to.

When are we going to impeach this incompetent clown?

Never going to happen with this batch of Democrat and Republican jackasses. They prefer to destroy America first and are doing one hell of a job at it. I seems that the majority of Americans are pure fools to let this happen.

The EU didn't want Ukraine because it didn't want to conform to the rules.

The EU does not know what it wants. The conclusions of the meeting of the EU foreign ministers today had this to say:

6: The Council welcomes the Commission's proposal for temporarily removing customs duties on Ukrainian exports to the EU and looks forward to its swift adoption. It furthermore looks forward to the signing of the political provisions of the Association Agreement on 21 March in Brussels and confirms its commitment to proceed to the signature and conclusion of the remaining parts of the Agreement which together with the political provisions constitute a single instrument. These steps will confirm Ukraine's free and sovereign decision to pursue Ukraine's political association and economic integration with the European Union.

OK, here is an almost exclusive for FR:

Why does not the EU sign the whole agreement with Ukraine 21 March? It is a single instrument, after all.

The reason is that in late January the EU probably thought the Maidan revolutionaries wouldn't make it, and did not want to become too unfriendly with Russia, so at the EU-Russia summit 28 January it was decided that Russia and the EU would have to reach an agreement on "technical details" of the Deep Trade Treaty between Ukraine and the EU before it could be signed.

The new rulers in Kiev were not amused when they got to learn about this, and every EU official that has to mention the Accession Treaty rapidly skates over the reason why the whole treaty cannot be signed now.

I just wonder at what opportune moment the Russians will publish that agreement.

Wonder what happens when Russia starts “sanctioning” Americans?

The Brits can expropriate billions in Russian property in London alone if they want to. Putin isn’t going to play economic terrorist. He will lose in the end because his economy is a one trick pony (energy) and Russians now have a lot of assets abroad.

SO Russia is now mocking Obama. It seems like the only group(s) that still pretend to respect him are the extreme progressives in America and the media.

Seems like China might be the player to watch right now. China has sided with Putin.

No, he threatened to unfriend Dimitry Rogozin on Facebook. Also, he’s contemplating a nasty Tweet to Dimitry HIMSELF, but that hasn’t been confirmed.

You see, IF Obama does that, and we’re not saying he will (that would be too threatening), then word will get back to Putin that Obama means business!

The Germans & Brits didn’t even want to call off the Sochi G8 meeting! They are controlled by the banksters & corportists getting rich off the Russian kleptocracy. The are beyond useless. When the shooting starts with Russia in a NATO country they will fight to the last GI.

Yup.

And there’s a sheriff’s office doing a criminal investigation; according to them its more than just a couple fishy docs.

State Dept spokesperson grilled over “F**k the EU tape”

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWfBW1ExZmc

Senior US State Department official Victoria Nuland has been caught giving a harsh message to the EU while discussing Ukrainian opposition leaders’ roles in the country’s future government. The phone call was taped and posted on YouTube (http://youtu.be/MSxaa-67yGM). State Department spokesperson Jan Psaki admitted that after the tape was published Nuland had to call her EU colleagues and apologize.
