Immigration activist released

A Mexican woman who received widespread attention for taking refuge in a Chicago church before she was deported in 2007 was released from U.S. custody Thursday, two days after she sought permission to enter the country without legal documents.

Elvira Arellano, 38, was paroled by U.S. immigration authorities with her 5-month-old son, Emiliano, who was born in Mexico. They are among about 150 people who have sought to enter the country without legal documents at San Diego's Otay Mesa port of entry since last week in a protest of U.S. immigration policies. Many planned to claim asylum.

"We are pleased to be here with friends who have helped us," Arellano said. "We are going to continue fighting for other fathers and mothers to also be freed."

Gillian Christensen, a spokeswoman for U.S. Immigration and Customs and Enforcement, confirmed Arellano's release and said an immigration judge would determine the outcome of her case.

People who claim fear of persecution are often released from custody pending the outcome of their cases before immigration judges. It was unclear how many protesters who crossed in San Diego were in custody and how many were paroled.

They are being taught the magical phrase that will grant them respite from the deportation process. By saying it, it grants them special handling and treatment.

This was implemented by Obama.

She isn’t doing this on her own. She has been assured by Democrat operatives and saboteurs that her crusade has advocacy at the highest levels of the US Obama government, likely from Eric [MyPeople] Holder’s Department of Justice.

It is a DIRECT and OVERT attempt by this administration to undermine and destroy our sovereignty, plain and simple.

Will be flooded? The feds admit to catching almost half a million. Experts guess that they only catch 10%. That means 5 million may have entered last year.

Anyone who truly believes that there are only 11 million illegals in the USA is delusional.

My guess is more like 55 million.

When a rational President gets a chance to fix this, we need to have a list of countries whose citizens can ask for asylum. If they come from a country not on the list, send them back immediately without any judicial process. If some country like Mexico wants to be on the list, let them try to explain why their citizens need asylum.

Why aren’t they down on the Guatamala border if they are so concerned about immigration policies? Oh, that’s right. She wants free stuff.

Read the whole article - she already has one, a 15-year-old who was born in the US.

Total silence on this from GOP politicians and near silence from the supposedly conservative media outlets.

I don’t know about “too late” but it will be an uphill climb. We’d need a Constitutional amendment at this point. Hard work, but not impossible.
