Dogs killed inhumanely at Ohio shelter, officials say

Three animal shelter employees in southeast Ohio have pleaded not guilty to charges of inhumanely killing dogs.

The Gallia County dog warden, his assistant and a former warden are accused of killing dogs by injecting a drug directly into their hearts without using a sedative, which veterinarians say causes extreme pain before death.

We adopted our black dog from the local animal welfare two years ago. She had gone for three months at the time that we first saw her. She was going to be euthanized. We were told that black dogs have a hard time being adopted.

We have had many dogs and our girl is the most affectionate dog that we have ever had.

This photo looks just like her down to the white feet and white around the chest and nose.
