The White House announced that President Obama has just issued an Executive Order which will delay the NCAA basketball championship for one month, until May 1st. Obama took this action after he learned that many people were unable to submit their brackets on time, because of computer glitches at the Yahoo, SI.com, and ESPN websites.
Much of problems were caused by the unprecedented interest in the Quicken Loans billion dollar prize often caused delays in being able to log on to that website. Obama said that Warren Buffet should not have allowed the contest to start without having first demonstrated that his website could handle the expected volume.
Obama said that the Sweet Sixteen round would be delayed one month, until Thursday, May 1st, and that the Final Four would be held the week after.
Obama's executive order instructs the bracket organizers to immediately reopen their websites to participants. Individuals who were unable to submit their brackets prior to the deadline can now log on, and just click a button which attests to their inability to logon prior to the earlier deadline, and they can then enter the bracket challenge.
When HHS Sec Sebelius was asked what about the games already played; if in fact people would now be able to enter the correct results of all the first round games already completed, she replied, "I'll have to get back to you on that. I don't have the answer to that one." Press Secretary Jay Carney also said that Obama's executive order applied to the NCAA Women's basketball championship. "After all, it's important that we don't discriminate against women. Unlike some here in Washington, this administration is for women's equality, and we're not waging a war on women." When he was told that there isn't one single bracket challenge anywhere on the planet for the women's games, Carney said, "We believe that it's very important that we have hopefully averted what would have been the most substantial headwind of all. Thank you."
As he was leaving the podium, one of the reporters yelled out, "What about the NIT?

better yet, what if Obama extended the submission of entries into the $1 billion dollar bracket because of hardships and entries don’t need to be in until April 1st. All this of course is on the honor system. I’m sure that Buffet would not object
For once I agree with ‘Obammy’!! I think I will sue Quicken Loands and Yahoo Sports for failing to excepted my Bracket Picks in their One Billion Dollar Prefect Bracket Rick contest!!!
So does that mean I won the billion dollar bracket after all.
"...we're trusting the people to be honest in their submissions. They must check a box that the teams they submit were what they originally intended to submit or face perjury charges."

LOL. Can I change mine too?
Those buying “Gold” plans can wait until April 8 to get their brackets in!
I started my taxes before April 15th. Can I just pay them next year?
LOL!
If you like your bracket...
