Don't Get Punked by Paramount's Pagan Noah Film

"...After viewing Darren Aronofsky's Noah, I am astounded by the number of Christian Pastors who joined in the promoting of of this propaganda piece – but that is for my follow up column.

Paramount says the Noah Movie was "inspired by the story of Noah" but it appears more likely it was inspired by the story of Al Gore’s protégé Ted Kaczynski. Paramount would have been more accurate if they had made a movie about the Uni-Bomber because this Noah had more in common with Ted then the Biblical Noah and Russell Crowe’s rendition would have required very little tweaking. The film was full of absurdities like..." (continued)

Next thing you know, Hollywood will produce a movie about Sodom and Gomorrah where all those evil homophobes tried to attack the open-minded Lot and his gay angels.

Yes. Watch the History Channel version. They contended that God destroyed Sodom & Gomorrah because they became so “inhospitable”. I kid you not. It’s on Netflix if you have it. Just type Sodom and it will come up.

So, so right on sexual immorality, rampant today every single direction and constantly rationalized by all stripes.

It is not just homosexuality. I sometimes wonder if homos really got their start because of all the promiscuity that was already becoming “the new normal”, and is now.

That's what my United Methodist Church pastor said in a sermon about 10 years ago. I left the UMC shortly thereafter. There IS a point- homosexuality is one of the most inhospitable lifestyles you can live.

The Chumash (Torah) commentator Rashi says that even the animals were affected by human rottenness and became sexually perverse, thereby including themselves in the mabul (flood). It is noteworthy that the decision to wipe out the earth was due to the corruption of people first, and nature second indicating that G-d made the earth for man. His responsibility even before “the fall” was to tend to and care for it.

I think its our duty as Christians to point out whenever a biblical story is told incorrectly, been altered to benefit evil, or told out of context to suit a political purpose or just outright evil because it is a lie at that point. Its time to expose the evildoers that are posing as Christians for profit and fooling the masses who have no discernment to know the difference. We need to pushback and redouble our efforts to save even more people whenever they do this until evil gets the message.

Great movie. Saw it this morning. Be sure to read what most evangelicals ignore “This movie was INSPIRED by the biblical account of Noah”. Absolutely great special effects and Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly should be nominated for academy awards.

Maybe because is an extremely LAME cop out. If you want to create fiction, create fiction, but it is so un original to buy the rights to an established work, (I know, Bible stories are free) or even worse and more egregious, a true life event and then tell lies under the guise of the word "inspired". It is sleazy and lame and deserves to fail.

The movie is a very faithful adaptation. Of course the movie takes ‘artistic license’ with the story of Noah, but you have to realize the biblical story of Noah is so short that if you stuck to it 100% you’d have maybe 15 minutes of movie, with massive plotholes. Aronofsky creates a beautiful Biblical adaptation and absolutely stays true to the spirit of the story. I hope more people realize this and form their own opinions, rather than parroting opinions from hateful people who haven’t even seen the movie. Also, God, i.e, “The Creator”, is mentioned all the time, so I have no idea where that criticism came from. Go see it. You’ll like it.

Then why make a movie of it at all?

I hope more people realize this and form their own opinions, rather than parroting opinions from hateful people who haven’t even seen the movie.

I'm forming opinions based on people who have seen it. I'll probably watch it when it's on Netflix for a good laugh, but I'll certainly not spend money at the theater for it.

Also, God, i.e, “The Creator”, is mentioned all the time, so I have no idea where that criticism came from.

Why not call Him "God" then? Perhaps it's not a good idea to let an atheist direct a "biblical" movie?

Go see it. You’ll like it.

Of course. To get a dialogue going, right?

It isn’t a question of ‘parroting’, long experience with the people who today gravitate to movie/documentary production leaves me expecting the usual garbage. Maybe I miss a jewel here and there but it’s worth it to avoid being tweaked yet again by jackasses.

Almost all of the filmed story of Noah would be ‘filling out’ the sketch in the bible but the hate and rage that animates the hearts of liberal propagandists is soft and subtle and made for the task. It would be nice if they put up the Noah story in a way that does not attack Belief but I doubt the fundamental decency and heart of the industry.

Where’s the outrage at Hollywood completely destroying the original version of 300 Spartans, the classic that came out in the 60s starring Richard Egan; now with that fantasy cartoon crap called 300. How about the classic Spartacus, starring Kirk Douglas, being completed destroyed in the Starz garbage that should be rated XXX. Or the Tarzan movies, or the Hercules movies, and last but not least why did all the evangelicals love that Son of God movie, when it twisted scripture around so much it was hardly recognizable. Putting words in Jesus mouth he never said, showing Mary Magneline in every scene like she was one of his apostles, showing Jesus falling and his mother talking to him as he was on the ground. Where was the outrage. The movie was outrageous, but promoted by most on FR.

Does your Christian belief system include The 300 Spartans?

Did the other Christian based movies you mentioned seek to twist or undermine the actual message? I mean this Noah movie has the title character angry over environmentalist issues and contemplating murdering “his newborn daughters.”

You seem to be twisting yourself into knots promoting, justifying and defending this film. Why is it so important to you? Did you fight this hard in support of “The Last Temptation of Christ?”

“I mean this Noah movie has the title character angry over environmentalist issues”

Now that’s a strange comment to make. I watched it yesterday and about the only thing Noah spoke of was man’s wickedness and yes for destroying what He made for them.

“I brought you into a fertile land to eat its fruit and rich produce. But you came and defiled my land and made my inheritance detestable” ~ Jeremiah 2:7
