Cold War II

President Vladimir Putin is taking maximum advantage of the weakest American President in history to rebuild the empire that was once known as the Soviet Union. The Left can bloviate all they want but they cannot tap the heels of their Ruby Red Slippers and wish it wasn’t so. Barack Obama has already lost Egypt to the Russians and pretty much surrendered the Ukraine to them as well. Given John Kerry’s moronic boast that the era of the Monroe Doctrine is over, Russia is planning to expand its military presence beyond current boarders especially in Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua. Russian forces in these counties, with no opposition from the current administration, represent a declaration of the second Cold War.

Cruise Missile threat

Armed with Russian built missiles Iran, is now a legitimate cruise-missile threat to America’s Gulf of Mexico states. Russia can launch cruise-missiles from land, sea or air from Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua with little or no warning. Military Planners are working to defend the United States against a cruise-missile attacks launched from the Gulf of Mexico!

A 2013 joint service exercise deployed Patriot Missiles, Aegis warships and fighters against a simulated missile attack from the Gulf. Lessons learned from the exercise exposed United States’ vulnerability to attack from the region. The exact details of the drill and what we learned from it are classified.

US has no ground to stand on here. When the southern states broke away from the US, the US started a ‘total war’ to keep them in their sphere of influence. And in the final campaign, they threaten to unleash the US Army to ravage the countryside unless the south surrendered.

Then they sent occupation forces, and made people swear oaths of allegiance before they could vote.

The Russians did nothing like that, they allowed states to be free. All they want (and Putin has said) is to allow people of Historic Russian ancestry to live under Russian Gov’t.

I’m all for peoples of common cultures to live together - it sure makes getting things done easier.

There are almost 200 ethnic groups INSIDE Russia. They are all RULED by Russians. Putin isn’t practicing what he is preaching and you are eating up his propaganda. Buy a clue, FRiend.

Honestly, I have no idea what the Obama administration's foreign policy is. Kerry throwing the Monroe Doctrine to the wind. Libya, Egypt, Syria not making sense. Wins in Iraq and Afghanistan throw away. The reset with Russia ... a reset to what? A cold war? I highly doubt it.

Democrats and liberals have for decades have tried to make the Soviets out to the good guy with the good ideas that we should try.

i don't think Cold War II will happen as long as liberals and RINOs dominate politics in America, because you can't have a war without an opponent. And we're not much of an opponent right now.

Too bad we didn't destroy Islam after 9/11 (without rebuilding). We would have be done in 2-3 years and would be much stronger. Unfortunately we chose the wrong enemy.

“....John Kerry’s moronic boast that the era of the Monroe Doctrine is over....”

.
It has been replaced with the Putin Doctrine, cosigned by Zerobama.

Where do people like you come from? The Civil War was a tragedy but we built a better, stronger nation from it. The world has been rescued several time over by the United States. Living in a false past is a waste of everyone’s time.

P.S. “decriminalize” has only one m.

Does that include Brighton Beach?

The problem is that Ukraine hasn’t been an independent country either. It’s a nationality. One that has been dominated by Mongols, Poles & Russians.

Should they be independent? Sure. But there is little we can do to assist them in the present crisis.
