Chris Christie calls Jewish towns in Judea and Samaria 'occupied territories'
Israel Matzav ^ | 3/30/14 | Carl in Jerusalem

Christie apologized for the gaffe.

Not long after his speech, Christie met with Adelson privately in the casino mogul’s office in the Venetian hotel and casino, which hosted the RJC meeting.

The source told POLITICO that Christie “clarified in the strongest terms possible that his remarks today were not meant to be a statement of policy.”

Instead, the source said, Christie made clear “that he misspoke when he referred to the ‘occupied territories.’ And he conveyed that he is an unwavering friend and committed supporter of Israel, and was sorry for any confusion that came across as a result of the misstatement.”

Adelson accepted Christie’s explanation, the source said.

...

Before the meeting, Adelson ally Morton Klein, president of the hawkish Zionist Organization of America, had confronted Christie about his use of the term, telling POLITICO he explained to the New Jersey governor that “at minimum you should call it disputed territories.”

Christie’s almost done. I hope Scott Walker is the real deal; I can’t take another Bush Presidency.

Christie just keeps on with his media-pleasing pleas for Republicans to quit devouring each other, while I can think of no faster way for Republicans to completely collapse ahead of Election Day 2016 than witnessing this guy winning the nomination.

His complete ignorance or plain deceit with regard to the dangers of Islamic fundamentalism, these preaching statements he continues to make with regard to Islam in general, are at least circumstantial evidence of his having been "touched," as they say in New Jersey, by local or, perhaps, international Islamic brokers.

There's no questioning Chris is a genuine "hungry political animal," but this isn't Big League sports, the National vs. the American League, etc.

I won't support Republicans just because they aren't Democrats. I'll support Republicans who don't profess illusions about Israel and Islam, who support the Constitution on it's face, who stick to the letter of the Law.

I doubt if Scott will run, he's got so much more to do here in WI. In any case, the big government establishment Repbs will put up another Dole, McCain, Romney and lose. How ‘bout a Romney/McCain ticket just to make things obvious.

Either Obizmo will find a way to run again, or Hitlery will win.

"Now the pubbies are lining up for his moolah. Makes me sick."

How did Christie get Newt out of the way in the kissing line?

After his ‘’occupied territories’’ gaffe, Chris Christie’s presidential hopes are not necessarily dead if he can make up the loss of pro-Israel Jewish funding with anti-Israel Muslim funding.

I would trust Jordan over all other neighboring countries because of who the present King of Jordan is. Jordy, as we knew him at Deerfield Academy, is a great guy and very pro-western. He has handled a very difficult task of keeping the radical Palestinian supporters out of his country, while not appearing too Western/Isreal friendly to his predominantly Muslim countrymen. Past wars mean nothing when you have someone like Jordy in control. Notice that the Arab spring wasn’t even a hiccup in Jordan.

This is not something you make a mistake about. It is how he feels, I would never use this term.

Adelson is a fanatical supporter of open borders and amnesty, for America, not Israel of course. His behavior and statements seem like they are calculated to play up to every negative Jewish stereotype.
