12 Signs That Something Big Is Happening To The Earth’s Crust Under North And South America

By Michael Snyder
on March 30th, 2014

Why are fault lines and volcanoes all over North and South America suddenly waking up? Are we moving into a time when major earthquakes and volcanic eruptions will become much more common? For the past several decades, we have been extremely fortunate to have experienced a period of extremely low seismic activity along the west coast of the United States. You see, the west coast lies right along the infamous Ring of Fire. Approximately 75 percent of all the volcanoes in the world are on the Ring of Fire, and approximately 90 percent of all global earthquakes occur along the Ring of Fire. Scientists tell us that it is inevitable that "the Big One" will hit California someday, but people have gotten very apathetic about this because things have been so quiet out there for so many years. Well, now it appears that things are changing in a big way - and not just along the California coast. The following are 12 signs that something big is happening to the earth's crust under North and South America...

#1 The 5.1 earthquake that shook Los Angeles on Friday was the worst earthquake that the city had seen in many years.

#2 Following that earthquake, there were more than 100 aftershocks.

#3 A 4.1 earthquake shook Los Angeles on Saturday. Scientists are hoping that this earthquake swarm in southern California will end soon.

#4 Earlier this month, a 4.4 earthquake rattled Los Angeles so badly that it caused news anchors to dive under their desks.

The center of the ERF is at millions or billions of degrees, or so.

How is that not going to cause a problem?

Global Warming?

TEA Party issues?

Motivation for the Koch Broz.?

And did those feet in ancient times
Walk upon england’s mountains green?
And was the holy lamb of god
On england’s pleasant pastures seen?
And did the countenance divine
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was jerusalem builded here
Among those dark satanic mills?

Bring me my bow of burning gold!
Bring me my arrows of desire!
Bring me my spear: o clouds unfold!
Bring me my chariots of fire!
I will not cease from metal fight;
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand
Till we have built jerusalem
In england’s green and pleasant land.

12,000 reasons why a prepper blog site hasn’t the foggiest clue about what is causing earthquake activity and cannot possibly predict what is going to happen next.

He is hoping that his advertisers see an uptick in orders for freeze dried mushrooms.

Mr. Snyder needs perspective.

Yes. But he's in the business of selling survival goods, videos, etc. His income depends on forecasts of immediate gloom and doom.

Last line of the article: “Something big appears to be happening to the earth’s crust, and you won’t want to be in the “danger zone” when things finally break loose.”
So what should we do, move to Asia or Europe? This is nuts...on second thought, it might not be a bad idea until 2016.

Whereas the earth is many Billions of years old, recorded history which is all we know about is barely 2 millenniums old. My point is we don’t know shyt what has been going on for a very long time. So saying “Something has changed” is illogical, incompetent and irrelevant.

Ditto goes for “man made global warming”.

I was in Newport Beach on Friday and it supposedly happened sometime between my last Jack and Coke and arriving at Rockin’ Baja Lobster.

We did not fell anything.

Our waitress was still in a bit of shock over it.

My son said we get wind in Nebraska that shakes the walls harder than that.

Geologic processes work on a much different time scale than that which we personally observe during our relatively brief individual life spans. Yes, it's always something and delivers momentary attention to those who idly speculate such as the author of this piece.

Maybe your waitress moved here from Nebraska. Real So Cal natives don’t get shook up by earthquakes unless the walls are falling down.

They think a 5.1 earthquake in California is unusual!!!
There WILL be another massive quake there with thousands killed. Either Northern or Southern CA.
It’s the lay of the land there, There will also be tornadoes that kill hundreds here in the Midwest.
We just have more people and infrastructure in places we didn’t used to.

The 5.5 Chino Hills quake in 2008 was way scarier.

The problem with this analysis is that the fault zones have to move. They have to move.

So given that they have to move....

Its much better that they move is a series of smaller earth quakes than one big one.

that is, it better that an earthquake moves the earth 8 inches one month, and 11 inches the next month, and six inches more the month after and so on. Presumably these kinds of movements are what 5.0 earthquakes do. These kinds of earth quakes are better than letting the tension build up over time so that finally you get 9.0 earth quakes that moves the ground 20 feet all at once & shakes down cities.

The Big One’s Still Coming—Black Oak Arkansas

We’re having an earthquake
We’re goin insane.
A California earthquake
Has been shakin our brains.

We’re havin an earthquake
And some think it’s fun.
But in an earthquake
There’s nowhere to run.

But the big one’s still comin,
Yea, it’s on its way.

California earthquake
Shakin our heads
Yea we’re havin an earthquake
On our water-beds.

California earthquake
Is breakin the ground.
We’re havin an earthquake
What a crazy sound.

But the big one’s still comin
Yea, it’s on its way.

We’re havin an earthquake
We’re goin insane.
A California earthquake
Has been shakin our brains.

We’re havin an earthquake
And some think it’s fun.
But in an earthquake

But the big one’s still coming,
Yea, it’s on its way.
