Supermarket Tabloids have become America’s true mainstream media

America’s fall from greatness parallels with near pinpoint precision the body politic’s choices at the ballot boxes of morally challenged candidates. In heavily copyright-protected revelations this week, (and rightly so) the two “supermarket” tabloid news outlets are replete with stories of knock down, drag out battles Barack and Michelle are having on a regular basis along with a stellar reason Hillary is not eligible. But both of these story lines are being suppressed by a media shilling for their choices by the typical method of lying by omission.

“This was a blowout of epic proportions,” says about all I can quote from the April 7 issue of NATIONAL ENQUIRER, in a report calling this latest fight “probably the nastiest White House battle” a Potus and Flotus ever had. But our lousy main stream media will never...

For me, it’s not the Tabloids ... it’s Free Republic!

The Enquirer and STAR often have some fairly decent reporting.

The EXAMINER and GLOBE cannot be trusted at all.

Oh for the days when the National Enquirer was a blood and guts magazine!

The Enquirer is very meticulous in fact checking it's reporting because of frequent lawsuits.

One of my acquaintances here in Hollywood used to work for TMZ. He actually thought TMZ was full of sh*t and too sensationalist. He now works for one of the “top” newspaper tabloids and he has the connections in DC and WH. He explained that no one takes TMZ seriously and that TMZ still contacts him for the scoop.

The ones I see in the supermarkets insist over and over that the Obamas are getting divorced.

I don’t think unsubstantiated reports in a tabloid are ever news. For one thing the Enquirer has had almost every president and first lady since its inception on the brink of divorce at least once a term, so anybody that actually believes that headline is dumb.

The Obunga family, Bork and Mike.....

My money says Bork wouldn't surve any sort of a real knock down drag out with Mike. The Mike Obunga story:

My wife buys them all the time and reads them, but I’m skeptical. I think the were pretty accurate about the hijacked airplane though, which pretty much agrees with this website.

Brings to mind the old Churchill quotation at a dinner party with the Astors:

Nancy Astor:"If I were your wife I would put poison in your coffee!"
Churchill:"And if I were your husband I would drink it."

I just came back from the store and saw the Globe, Obama in a wheelchair; anyone see it? I’m looking for the story here now.

The Daily Mail does the job now, despite some person’s reservations, their pictures and coverage I think are excellent. Maybe editorially, they are not always in tune, I barely know their editorial stances, seems they get everyone peeved.

TMZ is mostly just kids yelling questions at celebrities in airports, isn't it?

Reporting things and breaking stories isn't really their specialty, so far as I can see.

Still, it doesn't seem like they make up much (apart from when they want to make jokes).

The tabloids keep reporting the same stories over and over again.

Sooner or later, they may turn out to be true, but that's not the case each time they run the story.

http://www.globemagazine.com/sites/globemagazine.com/files/GL17C1A_2015.jpg As I said, I did a double-take seeing the latest globe, surely, this has been out for a few days. I’m not cutting and pasting, the image is way to big, life-size I guess.

“TMZ is mostly just kids yelling questions at celebrities in airports, isn’t it?”

Technically, yes. Ambush journalism. But I wouldn’t treat TMZ as small time operation. Here in L.A., I personally know some of the valets who have their number on speed dial, and they get paid cash if they park the cars of certain celebs. Same goes at Tom Bradley Terminal at LAX with their customer service clowns.
