Bureau of Land Management Hiding Behind Toothless Tortoise
CFP ^ | April 12, 2014 | Judi McCleod

A June 1990 study, called The Desert Tortoise in Relation to Cattle Grazing by Vernon Bostick formerly posted to the University of Arizona website (and still found through Google) should prove once and for all the incredible stupidity of the bumbling bureaucrats with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).

The BLM’s self-proclaimed ‘Save the Tortoise’ balderdash is killing off both the tortoise and cows:

The dimwits are separating the suckling calves from their nursing mothers, leaving them to starve to death. They are removing the cattle off the range, which will deprive the turtle of life sustaning food and water. They will then let the range grow back to high grass, weeds, brush and trees, creating a tinderbox situation that will provide fuel for a range fire that will destroy the turtle and every living creature.

This is just the DNC and Reid stealing, again.

Just like ObamaCARE, which is not about health
but about State-directed murder and taxes and RICO,
this is about State-directed murder and taxes and RICO.

It’s about Harry Reid, his Son, the Soros NGO’s, and a $% Billion dollar taxpayer-paid graft project that will never, ever , make a profit.

What is the skim on FIVE BILLION DOLLARS, anyway?

Figure it out, it is reported that Fisker’s skim payback was somewhere around 100 million from the 500+ million in guarantees. This whole federal loan guarantees scam makes the check kiting scandal look like kindergarten playground tactics.

Bob Massi, FOX legal analyst, is out there this morning. He is saying that over 52 ranches out there are gone due to the government making it impossible for them to make a living by denying those people anywhere to graze their cattle.

So much space is Feds or State and they want to use it for their own purposes.

Take a look at that area and tell me about high grass, weeds, brush and trees. It is a desert for crying out loud. The only resemblance of those items you mentioned grow directly adjacent to the Virgin Creek, they call it a river. Everything else is sand, cactus and scrub, but the cattle have adapted to finding its chlorophyll needs on those native plants.

Since the land was appraised around $38 million, maybe we need to ask what the skim on $38 million is. Sounds like plenty of graft to buy off Clark County commissioners too.

Another fine reason to call DC the District of Criminals.

……..Reid, Obama, Holder - a new spin on Pigford 3 and reparations tossed into the blender except they never expected to have thousands of angry patriotic American men and women to be headed for Nevada to back up Bundy as he faces the armed FBI and BLM and their trained dogs that have attacked and assaulted unarmed women

- Great PR exposure for the Democrats with a big election coming this November -

Before Nevada Cattle Rancher Standoff, BLM Killed Off Hundreds of Endangered Tortoises

Endangered tortoise used as justification to assault Nevada rancher’s property rights

Despite the imminent closing of the DTCC’s doors due to lack of funding, the BLM has gone on to round up about 234 of rancher Cliven Bundy’s cattle at gunpoint claiming they’re helping protect the tortoise and also claiming he owes them over $1 million in grazing fees.
At the same time, seizing and impounding all 908 of Bundy’s cattle would cost the government an estimated $3 million, a figure that would keep the DTCC thriving for another three years.
Interestingly, the BLM is also facing a lawsuit from various environmental groups suing on the grounds that the bureau “has failed to track the effects of a wide range of human activities in the California desert on the tortoise..”
All of this illustrates how the BLM’s dispute with Mr. Bundy has nothing to do with saving or protecting tortoises (most of which were given to the facility by people who owned them as pets, and which the BLM is either killing or releasing into the wild – animals raised in captivity don’t usually fare well in the wild) as they claim, and everything to do with making an example out of Mr. Bundy for having the gall to stand up for his property, bullying him into submission by brute force.

Our place here in West TX looks like a tropical forest compared to that area around Vegas and we can only run about 15 head a section. In a bad year we drop it to 10.

That tortoise dies off in areas without cattle. It’s in the government’s own statistics. This is simply a power play by oppressive government to show the people who’s boss. The Founders would be ashamed of us for allowing these blatant atrocities against our fellow citizens to go unchallenged.

Where are the “conservative leaders,” by the way? I haven’t seen any of them standing with the ranchers and facing the dogs and snipers. It’s easy to go on Fox and talk about defending freedom, but actually defending freedom on the ground is too risky for these sun-shine soldiers.

This is about getting cattle off the range so the price of beef gets too high for me and thee.

This is about ChiCom solar ranch projects.

This is about gas and oil leases.

This is about open subjegation of a sovereign state by a totalitarian dictatorship and UN Agenda 21.

Welcome to the machine.

If they cared about the Desert Tortoises, they would not be killing them by the hundreds after closing a preserve. This isn’t about tortoises, it’s about something else. Most stories are about Harry Reid’s solar power buddies, I saw another story about Harry wanting to get rich on fracking in the area.

Whatever it is, it’s about lining Harry Reid’s filthy pockets.

Where the Hell is the Governor? He should issue orders to the State Police and Sheriffs departments to arrest any federal agent found in that area if they are not gone in 24 hours.

And where is Dean Heller(R) (the OTHER Nevada Senator) in all this?
