Some of the Japanese Sumo wrestlers did pretty well, during their careers and after retiring. They certainly had a knack for marrying beautiful women... and dying young.

I heard Hogan’s ex really cleaned him out during their divorce.

I remember back in the 50s and early 60s My Father and I would go watch wrestling every week at the old Chautauqua hall in DeFuniak Springs.

He could not get anyone else to go with him. The girls didn’t care anything about it and my brothers knew it was fake. I was too young to care and Daddy just liked to watch it.

Some of the stars back then were Mario Galento, his brother Spider Galento, The medics, Joe Scarpa, Dick Dunn, and a whole bunch of others I have forgotten.

Now if you’re somehow wondering why the names of Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan aren’t on this list, please remember that as great as those two were at their craft, they’re not exactly the poster children for how to use your money wisely.

Well, if I've heard correctly, Hulk Hogan's ex-wife has most of the money he ever made in a long career wearing out his body, and also gained a large percentage of his businesses. That's not really a "use", more of a legally sanctioned taking. It's a pity that people must consider marriage these days with the same sort of caution that mating scorpions must exercise, but given the financial consequences - at least the scorpions get it over with quickly and don't bring lawyers into it.

Bruno has a net worth of 4 million however considering he earned much of that in the ‘60’s he should probably be on the list. The Living Legend.

Good evening.

The girls didn’t care anything about it and my brothers knew it was fake.

I know/knew some of the prominent wrestlers in the various entertainment companies (many live in this area). Not "fake," so to speak, but choreographed. They had to practice the "script," or they could get hurt, badly. And they did. For all the money and endorsments, it was not easy to perform every night. Plus it seems, their life expectancy is short.

Just another point of view.

Yeah, me too. What a terrific actor - all those incarnations he went through, from Cactus Jack to Mankind to the Commish. Plus did or does standup comedy, wrote some books, one of which was on the top of the NYT non-fiction best sellers list.

He was part of that famous "Hell in the Cell" match when the cage broke resulting in multiple serious injuries, including him dislocating a shoulder. In spite of that and also being concussed, he climbed back up the cage again. Then later gave the crowd that insane smile of his only this time with a tooth hanging loose from his dislocated jaw and a hole in his lip. Tough dude...

Some of them were surprisingly nimble and athletic tho as you put it, choreographed. I guess that is what I would call fake tho.

Wrestling’s fake...so’s ballet. I know the end to “Swan Lake” EVERY TIME. Still doesn’t stop people from watching it.

Wrestling is fake since they are trying to make you think they are actually fighting but in reality as someone else said, “It is choreographed”.

A magicians show is fake in that you know what he is doing is not what is actually but at least he will concede that he is fooling you.

A ballet is not fake as they are doing exactly what they claim to be doing.
