In his continuing battle against the right of individuals to bear arms, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg pooh-poohed the idea that guns might be a valid or necessary tool of self-defense.
“The argument that an abused spouse might need a gun to defend herself is bogus,” Bloomberg insisted. “Very few spouses are actually totally beaten to death by abusive husbands. So, access to deadly force is seldom an appropriate response. A wife who escalates the situation by drawing a weapon will likely later regret her action. The better course is for her to lessen the beating by placating her husband and trying for a peaceful resolution.”
“Once a gun is deployed the chances are good that somebody ends up dead,” Bloomberg observed. “Avoiding this dire outcome for the mere cost of a few bumps and bruises seems the wiser course. If, ultimately, someone needs to be shot it is best that the police or other government authorities make that determination.”

The day Bloomberg becomes a victim of the knockout game is the day he drops the anti-gun bs. I wonder if he’s ever even fired one. I’m sure his bodyguards have.

Bloomberg can argue at length and opine endlessly whether or not a gun can be used for self defense. But he will never be able to successfully rebut it.
Is it proper to use as the subject of satire someone who has already earned his place in heaven?
Bloomberg’s bodyguards certainly don’t need to be armed. I trust he will immediately confiscate their weapons and have them take courses in non-violent conflict resolution.

I wonder why NO ONE in the Major Media, while Bloomberg is pimping this crap, has the stones to ask if his bodyguards are armed??

Bloomers has a contingent of heavily armed body guards. He won’t be a victim, because he never walks the street alone. He always has Schwarzenegger lookalikes with dark glasses and earbuds around him.
You’re just a serf, a peasant, a prole. You don’t deserve so much as a knife to protect yourself.
Very few? People aren’t people according to him. So it’s okay if a few abused women are killed so long as they don’t have access to a gun to protect themselves. Cops won’t come until after the abuse, calling 911 will not bring a LEO to the house on the supposition that maybe an abuse will occur (noise of yelling husband in the background saying he’s gonna kill her). Good thing that maybe she has a cell phone where she can call 911 while having the sh** kicked out of her.
Half lies commonly used to deflate ,confuse and or misconstrue a valid premise?
If it is a legitimate beating she can shut the damage down.
