Fired because of threats. Well, well.

I’m surprised he has lasted this long after what he did.

How soon will he be rehired and back on the street? Either his union will fire a grievance or else as an prearrangement in order to let the peons quiet down.

I’m sure he has been recruited by the BLM already. They and other FED agencies are looking for people his..... “character” Soulless, unfeeling, crude, evil SOBs.

We need an army of John Clarks. A reprobate like Dooley is a good candidate for uncontrolled decompression without remorse.

If you’ll mistreat an animal you’ll mistreat anyone else. If I could stand it I’d like to see the dash cam and the dog “attack”.

Fired because of threats, not because he screwed up and can’t be trusted? I think they’re missing the point.

So dummy with a badge shows up to the house of a burglary victim, shoots the dog because that makes the situation better, and instead of finishing off the suffering and injured animal he gets in the car and leaves.
Not only that, but he shot the dog in the back of the head.
What a cowardly and pathetic pos.

“Audio went out because of the loud sound of the shot”

What a bunch of crap. Just how stupid does this bunch of pigs think people are. Sheriff Traylor participated in this stupid attempt of deception and he needs to go as well.

Traylor, “We’ve had hundreds and hundreds of calls and its took time to answer them.”

Where did Drooley come from? The military or what? He clearly has the IQ of a potted plant.

"That was a decision I know means saying at this point he is guilty of a criminal offense, but it is being investigated toward the criminal side right now," Traylor said.

So he wasn't fired because of threats. He was fired a day after being placed on administrative leave because his actions were criminal, if I'm deciphering Sheriff Traylor's attempt to talk his way around making such an admission.

Standard cop policy:

1. Receive call from dispatch to speak with home owner about reported burglary
2. Go get more donuts
3. Wait at least 2 hours before showing up.
4. Upon arrival look for dogs
5. When dogs are located shoot them in the back of the head only wounding them if possible to provide maximum shock effect.
6. “apologize” to home owner if feel threatened
7. Flee scene of his crime when he realizes he has behaved stupidly.
8. Call for backup to subdue home owner in case he behaves emotionally and blame home owner for an “outburst”

There’s probably a standard procedure card governing it.

Somewhere, you'd think there would be a market for teaching prospective/current LEOs how to get along with dogs and understand when a dog is complacent, doing his challenge thing, or genuinely hostile.

Someone who knows dogs can even back down the latter with a combination of vocal tone, posture, and sheer grit--it is all about being the Alpha Male, not a wannabe.

For the Department which considered such training, the potential payoff in the lack of JBT bad press and better community relations just might be worth it.

Yea, tough to get past the shield of protection. The Mayor is where the first
head needs to roll. Mayors are ultimately responsible but we never hear about them.

When I was a trainee LEO (a LONG time ago) my coach and I were assigned to investigate a burglary report out in the sticks. When we got to the house, a Dobie-Great Dane mix came running up to my door if the patrol car and stood on all fours looking me in eye as I sat in the passenger seat.

My coach calmly said, "If you open that door, I'm going to shoot you.

The owner came out and corralled the dog and we took the report.

We couldn't, however, shake off some doubts about the truthfulness of the alleged burglary victim. The Dog That Didn't Bark (and shred the burglar to pieces.)

He should have been fired for cruelty to animals and I hope he is successfully prosecuted for it.
