Buying Latino votes comes at a price way too high for Republicans to pay

Simple rules of economics often escape liberals. Because they spend other people’s money, futures and safety to get what makes them feel good, the actual cost of things rarely enters into the schemes liberals concoct.

They don’t understand that businesses often close when what they sell becomes too expensive for their customer base. Specialty shops of all kinds fall into this construct.

Politicians who are considering buying votes must weigh whether the price to be paid is too much. They must ask themselves, “Will this break the bank?” Liberal politicians don’t bother with this consideration, but conservatives must never overlook it.

The political enemies of conservatism would love to trick us into...

Although passing “immigration reform” AND amnesty is the fastest way to collapse ObamaCare, it would also cause the country to collapse. Scorched earth never really works.

Not only that....but it won’t even work, no matter how high the price paid.

Honestly I do not think Amnesty is the most important issue to most Hispanic/Latino/Chicano/Mexican-American people I know.

This comes up every so often—if conservatives simply sit back and let the socialists have what they want, the whole system will “collapse” and get us back on track to a sound rule-of-law America once again. I have heard it most recently about Obamacare, but it applies to politicians’ and conservatives’ comments regarding welfare and any other socialist system.

However, that never works...never. Argentina has collapsed economically more than once and it only makes people more dependent on messianic rulers who come along and promise to punish some rich people or some other group. In the end, the general population ends up wallowing in squalor and awaiting the next collapse. The system that replaces the bad socialist system is always another bad socialist system.

First rule—never give an inch in defense of your freedoms. Second rule—always be demanding improvements in freedom through reduction in taxation, rules banning gov’t action on a variety of issues, decentralizing gov’t decisions to as low a level as possible (you, if possible), strengthening private property protections, and demanding gov’t live within its strictly-defined boundaries. Our ancestors earned these freedoms and the rule of law. We own it, must sustain it, and should improve it.

I agree.

Nobody catered more to Latinos than J. McCain, referring to them as "God's Children" and promised amnesty. They still voted for B. Obama.

It is an interesting problem. He makes the statement that amnesty will end the Republican party and the US as well, but the truth is that the open borders policy pursued by both the Republicans and the Democrats has already done the damage he’s worried about happening. That train left the station long ago. Amnesty does nothing but put a legal bow and ribbon on the package.

Then from what I read, the Mexican gov’t is quit brutal and efficient in protecting its southern border from illegal entrants from central and south america. So..........makes me wonder, with the damage already done, maybe the best face saving and cost effective solution would be to grant all legal citizens in and of Mexico dual citizenship. Then, to save even more money, the US could turn over border control/border patrol to outfits like Blackwater. The US Gov’t obviously isn’t up to the task and its just wasting vast sums of taxpayer dollars trying.

There is a huge difference between the “open secret” that the borders have been erased and an actual formal surrender which is what the Democrats want- a HUGE DIFFERENCE.

The price of Citizenship is demonstrated undivided loyalty.

The founders understood this and no ComDem Lie will change the facts.

Any other plan signals the end of the Republic.

True......but I would imagine that the “amnesty” is practically speaking, inevitable. If I remember correctly, the last one was done by Reagan. What the “amnesty’s” do is legalize the illegals and the children of the illegals not born in the US. So, what we end up with is a situation where we have rolling amnesty’s every 40 years or so.

But........I’ve researched this issue at length and disccovered that Mexico actually has a pretty good handle on who it’s citizens are. So why not use their database and grant them dual citizenship. that would leave those in charge of the Borders to focus on the “others” coming across the border illegally. And of particular concern are the Al Queda types coming in. And the gov’t of Mexico isn’t our enemy. They don’t want the Al Queda types coming in any more than we do. So granting dual citizenship helps enlist the help of our friends in hunting down and identifying the Al Queda evil doers while at the same time ending the rolling amnesty’s that really acomplish little except to drive more of the immigrant community to the Democrats.

Anyone ever wonder what they are doing with the NSA data when the FBI had to go public to ask for help identifying the Boston Bombers?

How about the John Roberts sudden reversal on Obamacare?
Since even a school kid can figure out the Democrats are hell bent on collapsing the US economy, why aren’t people like Gates and Buffet saying anything about it?

It seems pretty apparent that gestapo bullying wide scale spying are being used on Democrat opposition here at home.

We all need to pray that God has mercy on this country at this point.
