While Americans typically laud our national "exceptionalism" -- a sense that the trajectory of history has bestowed greatness upon the United States -- there are a few of our distinctive characteristics that don't deserve celebration. On the subject of firearms, for example, the United States is exceptionally irrational. No other nation has set guns aside as an object of worship.
We have let a blood-soaked gun lobby dictate our laws and regulations on firearms; we have passed "stand your ground" laws that allow violent and angry men to murder unarmed people; we have given the mentally unstable the ability to buy military-style assault weapons with which they wreak havoc on crowds. Last week, Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal signed a bill into law that would allow denizens of his state to carry firearms into government buildings, bars and, God help us, churches.
In addition, we have allowed the gun lobby to suppress research into the public health consequences of our firearms-worshipping culture. Indeed, U.S. Rep. Jack Kingston, R-Ga. -- running in a crowded GOP primary for a U.S. Senate seat -- has recently reversed himself, going back on an earlier pledge to support such studies. It hardly gets any loonier than that.

No community college anywhere I know of would consider adding a course like that to their curriculum...
you would be better suited to seek out a certified instructor on firearms safety, at possibly a local gun range...
Possibly even an NRA certified instructor who would gladly show you the do’s and dont’s of those maintenance issues...

What she completely leaps over is the fact that 90% of murders of people of her skin shade, and about half of murders overall, are committed by young males of the same cohort. Not the NRA, not the Elks, not the Rotary club, Kiwanis, Odd Fellows, Shriners, white Hispanics, Asian lesbians or angry middle age Caucasian males. Young, black males.

I think Cynthia is only half correct.
She sees all of this mayhem and murder committed with guns here in America and wants to stop it by taking guns away from potential criminals and murderers, even before they commit their crimes and murders.
She also hates guns and I’ll bet practically all of her friends hate guns.
Well, the best predictor of whether or not someone will use a gun in commission of a crime or murder, OR if they will hate guns, is if they’re a Democrat.
So let’s ban all Democrats from owning guns, and anybody surrounding Democrats (like bodyguards or other private security personnel) from possessing guns. Problem solved.

The first gun control laws passed in America were passed by Democrats so newly freed black slaves couldn’t own firearms. In this way the Democrat Party created ‘’terror wing’’, the Ku Klux Klan, could more easily kill them which they did until 1872 when some former Union soldiers and officers decided to do something about it. They created an organization called The National Rifle Association. Former Union general Ambrose Burnside was its first president. At great risk to themselves, NRA members went into the South giving blacks guns and teaching them how to use them so they could defend themselves from Klan violence. I wonder if this stupid liberal bitch knows this.
Its firearms that set her people free in the South and it’s firearms that protected them from the violence of the Ku Klux Klan.
Given the level of intelligence of their readership, I'm surprised that hey haven't discarded text and gone to pictographs.
She DOES know that guns prevent the federal government from running roughshod over the people and that pisses he off. Like the typical 60s and 70s activist, she believes that only a totalitarian leftist government with a monopoly on power is the only acceptable form of government.
