NBC’s David Gregory Slams Blair Over Islamic Terrorism: Didn’t You And Bush Make It Worse?
The Daily Caller ^ | 04/27/2014 | Brendan Bordelon

NBC’s David Gregory pressed Tony Blair over the resurgence of Islamic fundamentalism worldwide, arguing that perhaps the former British prime minister’s support for the Iraq War bolstered Islamic terrorism — a charge Blair vehemently denied.

Blair appeared on NBC’s “Meet the Press” Sunday to advocate for a stronger Western response to the burgeoning threat of Islamic fundamentalism in places like Syria, Yemen, Iraq and North Africa.

But Gregory pushed back. ”Isn’t the legacy of your leadership, and that of President Bush, in part responsible for the reality today?” he asked, noting that many in both the United States and Britain believe interventions in places like Iraq emboldened and inspired Islamic radicals and took resources away from the fight against al-Qaida in Afghanistan.

“So we’ve got to liberate ourselves from this,” Blair responded forcefully, “because we’re making a huge error when we end up thinking somehow it’s our actions that have caused this.”

Yeah Dick, because 9-11 never happened and terrorism didn't exist until Blair and Bush made it a big deal.

No wonder NBC wanted this man to have a mental evaluation.

Wow..........what a freakin’ idiot Gregory is. One look at history of Islam and he’d know we have done nothing to make it worse.

Well actually, yeah we have made it worse with our Political Correctness and Religion of Peace rhetoric, so yeah, maybe Gregory has an obtuse point of sorts.

What an idiot. When in history was it worse than 911 (Bill Clinton’s folly)?

David, tell me what Slick Willy Clinton did to eliminate the problem of Islamic terrorism?

Did he take Bin Laden into custody when he had the chance? Did he cover up Flight 800? Did he hide the Oklahoma City bombing connections to the Middle East?

Did he do anything other than get b******s under the desk?

And don’t even get me started on what Sheik Obama has done.

Thankfully, Obama has made our relationship so much better. What a braindead Marxist.

Pray America wakes up

Odd. Didn’t Zero say AQ was on the path to defeat? Would Bush and Blair be responsible for that?

Blaming Bush is just another way for Leftists to never have to take responsibility for anything that goes wrong.

Daniel Greenfield has a story about this very subject today:

How Blaming Bush Led to the Ukraine Crisis
http://www.frontpagemag.com/2014/dgreenfield/how-blaming-bush-led-to-the-ukraine-crisis/

“For the Democratic Party, history began and ended with the election of George W. Bush. Nothing had happened before him. Every world crisis began with him and would only come to an end when the Democratic Party finally squeezed one of its own into the White House.

If there was a problem, Bush had caused it. If another country hated America, it was Bush’s fault. Bush alienated Europe, Russia, Asia, the Middle East and even parts of Antarctica.

It was all his fault, the media, academia and angry Trotskyite grandmothers marching for peace and tyranny in San Francisco agreed. Books were written and movies were made. Cartoons were scrawled and songs were written.

It was all Bush’s fault.”

No doubt. His tendentious, prosecutorial style went out with 60 Minutes circa 1985. And like the later 60 Minutes, he prosecutes the wrong people.
