In order to bring light to "the gender pay gap," the University of Western Australia Student Guild had a bake sale early this week that offered discounted prices to people it believes are being oppressed by white males and "the system."
The UWA Guild posted prices at a cut rate for people who either "identified" as women or as a number of other things, such as "queer," "disabled," "a person of coulour," or "imdigenous [sic]."

Twenty cents off for each checkbox? The crippled, lesbian aborigine could really cash in on this.
I remember the college Republicans at some schools getting into trouble for a sale like this in the US when they were doing it to illustrate the injustice of sex and race based admissions and pricing.
And not free? Racis’.

25% off for each affliction.
They just admitted discrimination in public business is OK
I thought the word “queer” wasn’t accepted anymore.....
I’m a women and yes, I am disabled, but, I don’t want sympathy and I Certainly don’t want a free ride.
It’s all fun and games until a white guy walks up and says he identifies as a queer disabled aboriginal (by definition a person of color). Who are you to judge, bake seller? Check your privilege!
Oh, yeah, female too. Forgot that.
Would a woman trapped in a man’s body get the female rate?
Do these idiots have the slightest idea how ridiculous they are?
You've got it anyway!
I like your spirit.

Ridiculous - and destructive of a civilized society. But, having just returned from the local grocer — wow are food prices high now! — if the stores want to give discounts for just “ identifying as queer” — well, .........
Wait a minute. Isn’t this exactly what Stossel used as a demo of how unfair and absurd quotas and such are?
Guess he gave these people ideas.
I think that is what Stossel was showcasing.
