In order to be fair & balanced, lets have a look at some people who have actually benefited from the imposition of ObamaCare. The employees of an ObamaCare processing center in Missouri get paid but dont have to work, all thanks to Obamas healthcare power grab:
Their goals are set to process two applications per month and some people are not even able to do that, a whistleblower told KMOV-TV, referring to employees hired to process paper applications for ObamaCare enrollees.
The facility in Wentzville is operated by Serco, a company owned by a British firm that was awarded $1.2 billion in part to hire 1,500 workers to handle paper applications for coverage under the law, according to The Washington Post.
Dont worry about the wasted $1.2 billion. Your grandchildren are picking up the tab.
The whistleblower employee told the station that weeks can pass without data entry workers receiving even a single application to process. Employees reportedly spend their days staring at their computers, according to a KMOX-TV report.
Theyre told to sit at their computers and hit the refresh button every 10 minutes, no more than every 10 minutes, the employee said. Theyre monitored, to hopefully look for an application.
You can tell they are private sector employees; if they worked directly for the government, they would be gaping at porn.
Since ObamaCare operates outside the reality-based world of the free market, the lack of work is no reason to stop hiring:
The employee accused Serco of attempting to conceal the lack of work as it continues to hire employees for processing centers in Missouri, Kentucky and Oklahoma. The employee said Serco is compensated for each worker it hires.
Like CGI Federal, the Canadian company the Obama Regime hired (on a no-bid basis for reasons of cronyism) to build the disastrous Healthcare.gov website, Serco Group has a record
Last year, the British government launched an investigation into the firms parent company, Serco Group, for allegedly overbilling the government by tens of millions of pounds under a contract to monitor offenders on parole and individuals released on bail, The Washington Post reported.
No worries. Our Keynesian rulers tell us that the more money Big Government wastes, the better it is for the economy.
Heres an idea: why not have Serco hire every single person in the country who is unemployed? It would be a real feather in Obamas cap to get the official unemployment rate down to zero. Of course many would have to work from home, because showing up at an office and sitting at a desk all day could be stressful and result in missing favorite daytime TV shows.
And don’t forget the ex-cons and Acorn agents who were paid good money to be navigators.
Yeppers. If you were a grifter in the right place at the right time - there was plenty of easy (taxpayer) money.
Not to worry, the Republican left has found a new issue to push, amnesty.
Another impressive accomplishment for the Hubble Telescope.
