After long-time (and I mean long time) Mississippi Senator Thad “I’ve been senile for years” Cochran was cajoled into running one last time (after having announced his retirement) against Tea Party-type Chris McDaniel, only to lose just enough to be in a run-off (giving him close to around multiple of zero change of winning), the crusty old Big Government Progressives in the Republican Party can’t be too happy about the following news:
Eric Cantor, long thought of by the Haaavahd and Yale “elites” that have been jacking up the country since about 1900, to be the next Speaker, should they have to concede John “Crybaby” Boehner to appease the Republican rank-and-file, isn’t doing so hot in his own primary challenge… In just two years, he’s fallen from about 72 support to just barely topping 50% vs. Dave Brat’s 40%.
Maybe, just maybe, Americans want an option to the Democrat’s Progressivism, and it’s zero-calorie version in the GOP.

But the two MS polls showed McDaniel at either 44% or 40% and the actual result was 49%.
So there's no telling what could happen on Tuesday!!
What happens on Tuesday is not nearly as important as what happens in November.
I’ll be pulling for McDaniel. Being in Alabama, I can’t vote there because I am not a democrat.
Actually, that is the wrong way to look at it. The Primary is where we can make the greatest impact on the November outcome. Defeat a Cantor, Boehner, Cochran in the Primary race and you have the guy or gal that you really want running in November.
This is how we can impose term limits. The only downside, is that it takes some effort to do.
I see these primaries as potentially dangerous, though. If a LOT of establishment GOP are “primaried,” they know their time is up come November, regardless of the election winner. They might just pass amnesty knowing it’ll be one of the final big votes.
When career politicians are put up against the wall with the threat of being “de-throned,” they’ll start showing their true stripes.
If things don’t go right Tuesday, November is a moot point.

What happened last Tuesday and what happens this coming Tuesday are what can save us from the Republlican saboteurs who care nothing about our values.
If we don't get more constitutional conservatives in the HOR and US Senate the governing from DC will get worse, whatever party wins.
I disagree. Cantor is one of the GOPe's primary weasels on immigration. He's trying to play his constituents for fools by posing as against it, all the while working to advance it.
Our best chance to put a stake through the heart of the amnesty push is to put fear into the hearts of RINOs. The best way to do that is to get rid of Eric Cantor.

Also, press your Representative to NOT support Cantor for Speaker.
That would merely move the date of the vote up. The Republicans were going to vote for amnesty anyway but after the election in the lame duck congress. Having guys primaried out will just mean they can do it sooner.
That’s a hump we just have to make it over though. The only other alternative is to keep the status quo, and America can’t survive much more of this status quo. Sometimes you have to act now because there won’t be another chance if you don’t act now.

I see no benefit in defeating a republican in June if that results in a democrat winning in November.

I went to Brat’s town hall meeting last night and it was mentioned that no demecrate is running in November. Therefore who wins in the primary wins the office.

And you are right. Someone did a great post on FR that they and others sat out the 2012 election because Romney wasn't good enough. He now sees that Romney wouldn't have ignored the Constitution, broken the law, and destroyed the country.
Unfortunately, there are those who’d rather vote for the perfect man than win with someone else. As I’ve said before, Jesus was the only perfect man and he isn’t on the ballot.
