“All is Well,” say sympathetic Dems to the stunned, Republican left
Coach is Right ^ | 6/11/14 | Doug Book

Concerned that DC Republicans might begin listening to voters rather than Karl Rove, an always sympathetic White House told stunned GOP leaders that “Cantor’s problem wasn’t his position on immigration reform, it was his lack of a position.” That is, Cantor wasn’t too liberal and he had not offended the conservative, Republican base with his promise of passing amnesty or his contemptuous decision to headline an April conference hosted by George Soros and organized labor. In fact if anything, the now defunct Virginia congressman had been TOO conservative! After all, hadn’t Cantor’s campaign sent out direct-mail pieces just before last night’s primary, promising that he was “stopping the Obama-Reid plan to give illegal aliens amnesty?”

Cantor lost to David Brat, an economics professor and Tea Party favorite who spent the primary season accusing Cantor of...

Darn shame Cantor's last minute attempt to trick the TEA folk into believing he was one of them didn't work...But the other RINOs are learning from this and are preparing to be trickier than ever before..

Louis XVI: Is this a revolt?

Duke of Rochefoucald - Linacourt: No, Sire, it is a revolution.

This is an extremely important point - thanks for posting this (and don’t mind the thread flies).

The people who are REALLY freaked out over the Cantor loss are the RINOs. Yes, this indicates all sorts of threates to the Democrats. But the RINOs have always lived in the cracks, the grey areas between the sides, smiling at the conservatives and kissing their babies while stabbing them in the back at the same time.

What Cantor’s loss means is that conservatives can SEE them. They are no longer able to hide in the grey areas. They have the same shocked horror as troops who suddenly realize the enemy is using night-vision goggles.

And it’s about damn time.

But the other RINOs are learning from this and are preparing to be trickier than ever before..

Lesson One: No more Soros-funded "Crush the Tea Party" retreats in Florida.
