Skip to comments.Clinton Characterizes NPR Interviewer as “Dense” and “Unhelpful”
Posted on 06/15/2014 11:25:15 AM PDT by John Semmens
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton expressed her deep-felt disappointment with the turn her NPR interview with Terry Gross took. Of all places I wouldve thought Id be safe on NPR, Clinton complained. Is this woman dense? For her to badger me like she did is unhelpful. I mean, NPR is public radio. As a subsidiary of the federal government they ought to do a better job of helping their friends.
The incident that sparked Clintons ire was a Gross question concerning when Clinton decided to support gay marriage. During the time your husband was president it appeared that your position was opposed to gay marriage, Gross said. The infamous Defense of Marriage Act defining marriage as a union of opposite sexes was passed by Congress and signed by President Clinton in 1996. Yet now, it seems that you fully support gay marriage. When did you switch sides?
At this point what does it matter when I switched sides, Clinton replied. If some want to believe that I always secretly supported gay marriage, but kept quiet for Bills sake, whats wrong with that? If others want to believe that I, like so many other Americans, gradually came to the right side of the issue, whats wrong with that?
I was only trying to clarify things, Gross said. Many brave individuals have been leaders in the fight for gay rights. Dont voters deserve to know whether you were among them? Or is being a follower of popular trends sufficient grounds for voters to elect you president in 2016?
The question now seems to be whether Gross will be able to hold onto her job at NPR. Paul Haaga, interim Chief Executive Officer of NPR would only say that personnel matters are confidential. Whether any particular individual is employed by the organization is an internal matter. The complaint registered by Secretary Clinton will be taken under consideration. A decision that best serves the national will be rendered.
In related news, Clinton is reportedly undecided on whether she will honor subpoenas to testify before Congress on Benghazi. I do want to boost my books sales, she told friends. And some say any publicity is good publicity. But would stirring up more dust over that long ago tragedy really be in the nations best interest? Hillary suggested that if I were able to see the questions in advance and be permitted to delete those that are irrelevant then I might see my way clear to participate. Otherwise Im not inclined to invest my time.

” a subsidiary of the federal government”
a subsidiary hillary?
and who’s dense??
was she this unclear before the lil accident?
Helping people to see a fairy shrill female politician, who, like every other politician, doesn't like to be confronted with their words and actions nor the consequences of their words and actions.
What else is new?
Finally some truth about NPR from a Democrat about NPR
NPR is government radio and their Democrat supporters expect that they will be friendly to their Democrat friends and support their issues.
So the next time NPR comes up for renewal Republicans have all of the proof they need to kill it.
Were not our nation completely and insanely out of control, Madame Clinton would be incarcerated in a high security prison on the charge of treason.
Stand DOWN Hilary!
While the NPR interview itself may be dense, it exposed Clinton as a big time light weight
I wish FR would have a minimum standard as to the quality of satire posted.
Satire is virtually impossible today — indistinguishable from straight news reporting.
you stepped in it now
You came to the Left Side of the issue.
Dont you know that?
I think she got more brain damage than she knows in that fall.
Absolutely brilliant! One of your best.
She who has failed at every position she has held said this?
She who couldn’t pass the most elementary of STEM classes said this?
She who would be cleaning tables had she not boinked a talented grifter said this?
The woman is an ignorant slut.
It’s satire - never happened
Taking from Dan Blather — satire, but accurate.
Absolutely a fact. File this satire in "You Couldn't Make This Stuff Up"
That’s one of the major problems with America’s First, “Dead Broke” Bag Lady. Nag, nag, nag. Just ask Willie. That, and it’s hard to look her straight in the eye these days to see if she’s lying . LOL!
I’m not fooled, but these satires clearly need an in-the-title warning. I appreciate the cleverness but...
The Democrats could care less about Gay rights and Illegals ,but they think supporting it now is money in the bank if a future GOP government tries to tamper with the insane things they are doing now
Dense & Unhelpful; Really now?
This, my friends, is the REAL sequel to Dumb and Dumber.
And the best part is they’re not even really acting.
I thought the whole Cat and Mouse game was highly entertaining.
I could tell Hillary wanted to throw a cup of coffee in the interviews face and ‘accidently slap her’ while reaching for her chewing gum. “If this harrassment does not end right now, I’m going to tell my husband all about you, and he still has Lois Lerner’s phone number, for business purposes of course!, So stop messing with me! Do you know who you’re talking to?”
The really relevant part about all this is that this stuff sounds like something would actually say.
But then I changed my mind.;-)
The Witch ought to watch out - she doesn’t know what its like to be on the wrong side of the leftist media.
Cankles is taking the media for granted, and in insulting them, she is tempting fate.
Interesting that it took seven posters before you called out the
satire aspect. But still, some subsequent posters picked up where
your predecessors left off. Hmmmm.
I disagree with your satire alert warning. Freepers need to be
dicriminating and to be zinged is a way to learn Similarly, I refuse
to add “sarc” to the end of my sarcastic posts. If a FReeper cannot
distinguish between sarcasm and sincerity then they should try
dicriminating = discriminating
