The entire field of GOP presidential hopefuls for 2012 consisted of has-beens and never-will-bes, none of whom would have been electable.

We thought we won the Cold War, and technically we did, but we have lost/are losing the ideological war.
And it may be too late.
Obama is not the cause but the symptom, which can and will be repeated.

Ditto. Down from my front, down from my side window visible to the sidewalk, several smaller ones donated to AmVets. A couple of my neighbors just put theirs up for the summer -- off the back porch, not the front of the house like before.
I blame the GOP for putting up a liberal. I'm not a Mormon but my vote depends on conservatism.

I took mine down, as well. I fly the Gadsden flag, and a handful of politically incorrect flags in protest since then. It pained me to have to do it, but with the election of BHO the U.S. as a constitutional republic ended, and was replaced with a Marxist thugocracy.
I’ve seen my lifelong views change in recent years as well.
First, my faith and trust in the GOP evaporated into nothingness, beginning with Bush’s obsessive craving for amnesty/open-borders and ending with the backstabbing treatment the Party bigwigs gave to Palin.
Second, seeing America re-elect a corrupt Marxist in 2012, and seemingly embracing the sheer depravity of fag-marriage. Such a country is no longer a country I would be willing to fight and die for. To put it mildly. A country that has morally degraded to this point is not a country I can feel particularly ‘invested’ in.
